James goes through two mindsets, he tries to tone it down and something still slips out, or he speaks candidly and ends up looking arrogant. He's a genuinely good guy and that doesn't come across, but boxing is in need of a pantomime villian now as much as ever so good luck to him. I think he's a lot better than he's given credit for.

I wish people would just get real about Eubank jnr.
Toughly matched ? No disrespect to Tyan because I like the kid but facts are facts.
Tyan lost at LM for the English title not long back against Nav Mansouri.
This was a case of giving Eubank every conceivable advantage going.
Listen if he wants to take on South Yorkshire let's see him in there with equally matched fighters weight wise.
Start with Liam Cameron and then Adam Etches.
Tell you what they wont happen right now. Why ? - because the 0 will disappear.

I dont think he's feather fisted. He hits harder than Ward I think. Im not sure he hits as hard as Froch, Groves and some others though.

you on drugs!! or are you auditioning for a presenters job on ch5? ask carl froch how hard ward hits. compared to ward , degale comes up way short in every department. degale has stopped no one of any consequence and has already lost to groves,,who wouldnt last six rounds with andre ward lets face it.

Eubank Jr has been toughly matched for his experience this was his 10th it was Booths 23rd. Booths been in the ring with Proska and Prince Arron. Not to mention the massive physical advantages Booth had, Eubank worked him out and stopped him. Guys like Bradley Pryce certainly arent push overs especially for a novice.

Im pretty sure I remember Froch saying before and AFTERWARDS that Ward didnt hit very hard! Im not a Degale fan either. Im just being honest.

Cant agree with you on that, Pryce took BJS the distance too if Eubanks power develops i think he could be something special.

I see BJS beating him pretty convincinly and to be honest I think even Anthony ogogo who's had 1 fight is it? Would have a very good chance of beating him. I just dont see anything special there. People like to compare him to his dad but his dad was far more talented I think.

A decent nights boxing. Shame about the silly title, a ten rounder would have been just fine.

Channel 5 are too sensationalist but it was an enjoyable card, if edited a bit too much. No complaints here and glad to see boxing on a mainstream channel.
DeGale can give anyone in the top ten a tricky nights work. I think he could do with an eliminator in a couple of figjts to cement his position.
Galahad is coming on nicely and deserves a genuine title shot of some description soon.
Eubank jnr has been matched solidly so far and ground out a good win over booth. An English title fight would perfect next.
Very early days for Hughie Fury, but nice to get the chance to see him on Ch5 again. Save the judgement until he's had a dozen fights.

I believe he's referring to Booth's height and reach advantages.

Umm....!

Seriously?
Yes I believe Degale has more natural talent than Froch; he has faster hands and faster feet. You think Degale has no talent?

We've seen time and time again though that talent only gets you so far in this sport. Froch has all the intangibles including talent to make him the superior boxer.

Well to a man all the journos I've spoken to say "shorter but more physically imposing" when descibing Eubank jnr.
So that's massive physical advantage to Booth is it ?
fornicate me not only have they got to be from a weight division below they've got to be shorter with stumpy arms.
No wonder meaty mick has problems matching him.
Can't wait for Etches to expose his fragility.
Over hyped.

So do you think David Haye has a physical advantage over Tyson Fury as well?

Stick to the subject - over hyped Eubank jnr and his massive victory over Tyan Booth with his massive physical advantage. I give up.

Difference is BJS won every round against Pryce, ignore the scorecard in the Eubank fight, that was a lot closer than it was scored.

Can't knock his confidence though - http://www.britishboxers.co.uk/2013/06/ ... ounds.html

Massive physical advantages? I think you've got confused with height.
The match was made at almost a stone heavier than Booth fought at 3 weeks before when he wasn't far off the welterweight limit at 2 days notice.
Bradley Pryce isn't a pushover but he's a welter/light-middle who's come up from super-feather.
Eubank has fought every fight at super-middle - he's never made the middleweight limit in his career.

I'm 6'4, can I claim physical advantages against David Haye? Maybe I'm being hard on myself, but he looks better than me with his top off.

Im not getting confused at all, they both weighed in at middle weight 163 to 164 lbs you're just talking out of your arse. Pryce and Eubank both weighed in at 163. Ok so thats not taking into consideration hydration weight but if you weigh in at 164 you are what 4lbs off the super middle weight limit.

Not only that but Booth is nearly 6'3 and and was tangling up Eubank with his arms thats a big physical advantage.

No but thats only a 2 inch difference, if you were 6'7 with a big reach advantage and in decent shape weighing in at the same weight as Haye i would consider it a physical advantage.
