I agree Barry had the better amateur career but Sean Watson is a tough wee guy. I think Barry's clever boxing would just about get him the decision on points, but if Sean Watson could drag him into a war it could go the other way.

Barry has a habit of staying in too long after he throws, if he stayed to boxing it would be good. Think it would be easy enuff to make as Paul Graham and the Gilmours seem to get along.

I maybe should of explained that a bit better just for you Billy!! I mean that people will be divided on who they think will win as in a 50/50 fight.. Hard one to call.. I have then put on my opinion which is based on both not having the best defence.. I felt that Stupart was the bigger puncher.. Not that it matters now!! Hope you guys find a suitable replacement

You need to read what you wrote david just one more time, your words not mine"stupart will stop Watson in the 2nd or 3rd but its a 50/50 fight" :witzend: :witzend:
And just my opinion Watson would stop Stupart because he not only punches harder but far more correctly

Billy I have re read what I wrote then explained to you the 50/50 fight!! It's an expression in boxing.. As in a good matched fight!! As in not a 1 sided fight like a lot of the fights that happen!! But again I will clarify.. This was a good matched fight.. My opinion was that I felt Stupart would win(I'm not right all the time) I don't know that much about Watson apart from his record and what people say!! Everyone has different opinions!! As this fight is not happening we will not find out.. Just for you I will do some work on my % and make sure that I don't make this silly mistake again :) thanks for pointing it out!! You can get back to giving Alba and prospect boxing a hard time now and telling them how bad everything is..

Excuse me for having an opinion but i seem to remember Ronnie had a few choice words to say regarding prospect promotions which you agreed with prompting a response from Paul saying that hed never have Ronnie on one of his shows, a case of kettle calling pot :shame:

Ha I'm only messing. I don't care about what I have put I just put up the first thing that comes in my head.. Anything I really say on here is just a bit of banter I don't take any of it serious. I want to see Scottish boxing getting better so want all shows to do well irrespective of who is doing them. And on a positive note we are keeping this thread at the top and maybe helping prospect sell some tickets :).. I don't think Paul has changed his stance on Ronnie fighting on his shows Billy maybe we should of been quiet oops

good show last night, ronnie and dougie was a good scrapped, dougie asked ronnie for a rematch after over 10x3 as he took this one at short notice, but can see that happening ronnie move onto a elimantor of sorts would be good.

I think a rematch with ronnie and dougie is pointless. Dougie is a learning curve and although can be awkward when ronnie didn't go into a tear up he dominated the fight without using the left hand. U still felt last 3 rounds ronnie fitness showed and over 3 minute rounds he would get the stoppage. Ronnie shoul fight Jon lad or badger Hughes next.

Late notice is that why it was only 8x2 these guys are well above that maybe they could put there master titles up against each other after both have another fight before they meet again TG with top the bill with that again since hes the manager of both so its easy to make

That wasn't the reason mate, Ronnie was just back from a hand injury and had only been training properly for a few weeks. The only sparring he got was against a couple of boys from my gym that were fighting 2 minute rounds so all of the sparring was in 2 minute rounds. Made sense for Ronnie to box the 2 minute rounds on Monday.

Hard fight for Mike Towell, Martin McCord is a tidy southpaw that boxes well against brawlers.

Yeah McCord is tidy. Saw him a bit at amaturs. Towell is a little crude and can be out boxed as he comes in. Throws a lot of punches so it could be a hard one to call.
