Dodson is a hardman in the Mark Delaney type mould. His ceiling is definitively British title level and no more, (or was).

Re: Dodson on Smith, UKAD sanction and McKenzie
Dodson and Smith are nearing the end of their careers. I see this as 50/50.
Re: Dodson on Smith, UKAD sanction and McKenzie
I don't think he's even 'British title level' his ONLY win at British title level was against the non punching near novice Allan Foster who'd only fought journeymen in four/six rounders. He's lost every other British title fight he's had.polecateddy wrote:Dodson is a hardman in the Mark Delaney type mould. His ceiling is definitively British title level and no more, (or was).
"Hardman" with FIVE inside schedule losses on his record?
Re: Dodson on Smith, UKAD sanction and McKenzie
Remember when Dodson was going to fight Harry Simon for the WBF Lightheavy title?
Thankfully that farce never took place.

Kevin Mcbride?Crepitus wrote:Never by anyone like Albert Rybacki thoughDead Mouse wrote:Mike Tyson has been stopped five times
Re: Dodson on Smith, UKAD sanction and McKenzie
McBride (for all his limitations) was an experienced fighter, with 28 stoppages on his record.jonp wrote:Kevin Mcbride?
Rybacki was a 9 fight novice who'd only beaten one fighter with a winning record.
Re: Dodson on Smith, UKAD sanction and McKenzie
Dodson-Quigley was a cracker if I recall. Ahh the heady days of Setanta.
Re: Dodson on Smith, UKAD sanction and McKenzie
I remember dodson being pretty disrespectful before the McKenzie fight calling him nothing more than a journeyman. Then he goes and sparks him out in 3. So if Dodson was right not sure what that makes him then??

Am I the only one to think Rocky Fielding deserves a shot at British before these two. Especially Smith who has only had a four rounder since losing to Groves nearly two years ago...
Why has he been so in active?
