If I look funny that's great, I've put a smile on someone's face.
I did say earlier that the EU normally got you a 5 ranking EBU.
What I don't get, is if this is a cracking route to the EBU why are so many of the titles vacant, and why aren't more of our lads using this route ?
Now I genuinely don't know the answer to this but do you think Daws got his shot because he was EU Champ ?

Well Daws got his shot because he was rated highly enough, and part of that would be down to beating someone who would have been rated by the EBU.

I think more of our lads don't go for this title because like I said, the British title is well regarded, both by fighters and promoters here and also by the ranking bodies. A guy from say France or Spain tho who may be as talented as a British champion doesn't have that luxury so getting hold of the EU title is probably a better way for him to get recognition and a ranking rather than fighting and defending the Spanish or French title.
