We are pleased to hear that Bivins and FOL understand that the profound responsibility of championship is a bit above his pay grade. When Gibbons "ascends" to the IBF top dog status he will always think kindly regarding Bivins decision to engage with the "best of the best".

Maxie Rosenbloom challenges Ezzard Charles, if not then he will defend the IBO title against Tommy Burns because he's been calling for the fight longer than anyone else.

Well since Mr. Gibbons has outrighted ducked a rematch with Charles, for a shot at a lesser opponent, Mr. Charles accepts Rosenbloom's challenge. This is a IBO/WBC unification bout I am hoping.

The IBO is a renegade title. It is considered "low rent" and "without merit".

Rosenbloom would have to drop that cheesy title to face Charles. We will assume this to be done, though Max can reclaim this title and go in a different direction if it he finds he was not aware of this ironclad rule.

IF the Rosenbloom/Charles fight happens, the current fighters rated 15 and 16 would be offered the option to face off for the IBO. This can and will be done within this weeks events.
