That's the same statue that is outside of the USOTC in Colorado Springs. It says "Down and out, Lost but not forgotten", or something very close to that. I remember that day clearly. I was leaving for a regional boxing tournament when somebody came up to me to tell what had happened. Marvis Frazier was asked to go on that trip but Joe didn't like flying and would not let him go. Jimmy Clark from Philly was going to take his place but missed the flight from Philly to New York. Ed Silverglade who is the father of Bruce who owns Gleasons gym was an administrator for USAB at the time. He was tasked with going to Poland to make arrangements to get the bodies home. Rough duty.
