Put it this way... what Haye does strength wise is similar to olympic weightlifters... they lift incredible weights but don't put on a pound... they make weight like boxers do. What Bruno did was more like Arnie than an olympic weightlifter

I suspect Haye does indeed train smarter than Bruno did. Bruno had an old school trainer in Francis, and I think he was allowed to do what he wanted in the weights room.

That's why Bruno never reached his full potential. His skill got him to elite level, his poor training stopped him going further

That's why Bruno never reached his full potential. His skill got him to elite level, his poor training stopped him going further

I'd say Bruno did just as good as Haye, he beat a resonable Champion to win the title, then lost to the top guy in the division.
Could you see John Ruiz (2010) or Audley Harrison beating Bruno? I'd say big Frank would of beaten both with ease.

I read once that they tested a load of athletes; sprinters, jumpers, gymnasts, and Olympic weightlifters. ('they', lol, fvck knows who 'they' were, but whatever)

The Olympic lifters tested out even better than all of the above, on tests to do with explosiveness. Olympic lifts are the Queen of strength&conditioning
