Gary Fox was meant to fight Selcuk Aydin.
Gary Fox was meant to fight Selcuk Aydin.
Fox has the tools to beat Selcuk Aydin... Now Selcuk matched with someone else???????
Re: Gary Fox was meant to fight Selcuk Aydin.
because selcuk has now picked another opponent to fight
Re: Gary Fox was meant to fight Selcuk Aydin.

Re: Gary Fox was meant to fight Selcuk Aydin.
I've seen Fox live a couple of times. He's pretty good.
Re: Gary Fox was meant to fight Selcuk Aydin.
Thought he was fighting Neil Hepper again on North East show ????
Re: Gary Fox was meant to fight Selcuk Aydin.
Fightfan- I'm his younger brother I'd like to see him in with crolla, Rees or Matthews
Re: Gary Fox was meant to fight Selcuk Aydin.
Steveolad- he had a rematch last year, won both times n second one was a ko for the belt
Re: Gary Fox was meant to fight Selcuk Aydin.
gary fox is an english tiltle level fighter if that an thats all he will ever be. sorry to say
Re: Gary Fox was meant to fight Selcuk Aydin.
Ah right, no bother mate. I only heard of Hepper last year and lived in the same town all my life, wasn't sure how the first fight went but ppl said it was close. Clear winner second time around so no disputes there then.knockout5 wrote:Steveolad- he had a rematch last year, won both times n second one was a ko for the belt
Re: Gary Fox was meant to fight Selcuk Aydin.
I was bookin 3 days away in Germany as well gutted he didn't get the fight
Re: Gary Fox was meant to fight Selcuk Aydin.
Tilt- you will see he will be English champion easy then youl see what he will do after
Re: Gary Fox was meant to fight Selcuk Aydin.
Had a look at the second Hepper fight on youtube, based on that Fox isn't beating any of the Top 10 in the country anytime soon. He's wide open to the right hand, just drops his left when he throws a right hand or punches are thrown at him, everything seems to be done in straight lines and he throws no body shots. He's also overly reliant on the right hand, jabs with the left and throws the occasional left hook but that's it. He was outboxed for the first 4 rounds by Hepper, until he landed a right hand, appeared to shove Hepper over and then the referee jumped in early when he started to unload while Hepper was on the ropes, again wide open to not just the right hand but any punch as he was swinging wildly with both hands.

That was last year. Have you seen any of his fights since then? Come back when you know what he can do and well if you don't think he's that good you jump in the ring with him and see what happens. Why don't you watch his recent fights? Like when he ko'd mark mckray, it was on ko tv you see it???
Re: Gary Fox was meant to fight Selcuk Aydin.
I doubt he's improved much by beating a couple of journeymen, I chose to watch the toughest fight he's been in that was only 9 months ago, I think I can make an accurate judgement based on that fight.knockout5 wrote:That was last year. I'm not a boxer, I'll happily admit that he'd knock me out, I'm comparing him to the fighters you want to see him in with and those at the level you think he's at.
I don't watch KOTV but I'd happily watch the fight if you would provide with footage of it since it's not on youtube. Mark McKray's a journeyman and a pretty average one at that, he's yet to go in with a top prospect and the only noticeable fighter he's faced is a shopworn Carl Johanneson who stopped him in 6.
Re: Gary Fox was meant to fight Selcuk Aydin.
No being funny but judging by his record and opposition Rees and the rest would absolutely steam roll this guyknockout5 wrote:Fightfan- I'm his younger brother I'd like to see him in with crolla, Rees or Matthews

Re: Gary Fox was meant to fight Selcuk Aydin.
If his thinking bout doing lightweight once to steer well clear of selchuk
Re: Gary Fox was meant to fight Selcuk Aydin.
Expe- think its on you tube some where but ill try and get it up tho 1st round ko
Re: Gary Fox was meant to fight Selcuk Aydin.
Welshjack- No chance! Rees or crolla wouldn't put a dent in Gary. He will get the chance and you will see.
Re: Gary Fox was meant to fight Selcuk Aydin.
Frankie Gavin- Gary is a lightweight but they were going to fight at light-welter, and selcuk looks slower now than a few fights ago, I think he would have beaten him
Re: Gary Fox was meant to fight Selcuk Aydin.
Expe- google Gary fox vs mark mckray you can see it there
Re: Gary Fox was meant to fight Selcuk Aydin.
+ Gary is very powerful at lightweight he has a chance with anyone in the top 10 without a doubt
Re: Gary Fox was meant to fight Selcuk Aydin.
Are we being punked here? I know he is your brother etc. but Rees is a former world champion and his last fight was against a future legend and now is on the road to fighting Ricky Burns when he beats Crolla, while Gary has been fighting against fighters with negative records and even got knocked down and scraped a win against a guy with 9-100+ record.knockout5 wrote:+ Gary is very powerful at lightweight he has a chance with anyone in the top 10 without a doubt
