12 Rounders, That Would Have Had Different Results Over 15.

Just leaving the house and thought of this.

Any thoughts?

Thought Bruno looked completely knackered In the last round against Oliver McCall. Think McCall could have forced a stoppage with a couple more rounds. Though maybe just my pessimism at the time as was willing Frank to win...

Andrade would've stopped Bute.

Chavez stops Taylor without the controversy.

Hagler squeezes past Leonard on the home straight...maybe...

Leonard stops Hearns in their second fight...maybe...

Calzaghe's win over Hopkins is more conclusive.

Good calls.
I think Quartey might have lost to Lopez.

The winner wouldn't have been different, but I believe Jose Luis Castillo would've knocked out Joel Casamayor in the 13th round had it of been at 15 rounder. Similarly James Toney would've likely stopped Vassily Jirov.

I think Vazquez would've done it to Rafa also.

Yeah in that 3rd fight, he definitely would've. I think we'd see a lot more KO's altogether if we had 15 round bouts instead of 12 round bouts.

I'm sure we would. It's just intuitive to me. The more rounds there are, the more chances there are for knockouts.

That's what I came to say. Over 12 rounds, Hearns beats Leonard at their best, Welter or Jr. Middle. Over 15 rounds, don't care what weight, Leonard takes him out.

No no no...I disagree with that :shame: :shame: :shame:

Leonard took the second fight with Hearns because he thought that Hearns was shot and washed up. But when Hearns was at his peak at 154lbs, I don't think that Leonard, with that performance against Kevin Howard wanted none of Hearns. Especially, of what he saw when he decapitated the great Roberto Duran in only 2 rounds.

To me, the higher the weight class, the better for Hearns.

He retired immediately after Howard and before Hearns/Duran.

Good point. However, since when does the truth matter when we are talking about Ray Leonard?

Adrian Broner retires due to heat exhaustion and Mallinaggi cannot continue due to a face like a bag of hammers

Howard Davis Jr shuts out Edwin Rosario over the last three rounds for the UD.
Tim Witherspoon and Greg Page would figh.t to a draw in their first fight
