Danny Williams retired?

Post by danconnollyeire »

Williams has stated the Negus (unlicenced fight) will be his last (thank God). How much do we believe this and how much damage do you think has been done. Williams was a great fighter in his prime to be fair to him but how will his legacy turn out?

On another note, this will be Negus' last fight too. There was the whole Audley steroid debacle and the headbut (he had a case). He was part of the criminal world and a well known enforcer and minder for many A-listers. A very local lad to be, now runs a gym a 10 min walk from mine, he turned his life around massively and is a sound guy. Has anyone else had experience of meeting Negus?

His book is a great read. Clearly done some very bad things in his life and came across as a bit a bully. Would definitely recommend it.

Yep, he's strong as an ox. He was a minder and enforcer so needed to be the 'big guy' which is why he was a heavy

X3 I fought Dom twice in the Ams. Winning one and losing one but I dropped him in one of em so I'd say that makes me the overall hard man :box: one o the nicest blokes I've met in boxing. If he has his own gym now does anyone have a number for him please?
It's in Chingford, East London. 0208 529 2409 is the gyms number

Williams weighed 286 and Negus weighed 18 stone something, didn't hear the last bit the guy weighing him said.

I thought Mark Potter stepped away from the unlicensed scene to start a MMA brand of clothing and sports nutrition supplements? Least that is what I heard.

Potter has responded to Williams calling him out by offering him a winner takes all match. Must say, Potter looks in a lot better nick than he did in his fighting days.
