lennox normaly gets rated as the best modern british fighter but i i myself have never really thought of lewis as british simply because he learnt to box in canada ,he boxed in the olympics with a canadian vest on. i have no trouble with fighters like lloyd honeyghan who was born in jamaica but learnt to box in england .
lewis never trained in britain or really lived here so i find it hard to call him british , as a fighter i like lewis i just not sure what to call him .

He is British. He was born in East Ham. He moved when he was 12 or something.

Being born in London means you are British. If I'm born in England but move to France aged 12 to eventually learn a trade over there, I am still British. What about this do people not understand?

cliff richard was born in india is he indian then . bradley wiggins was born in belgium but he's not a belgium and eddie izzard was born in the yeman yet he is english

They may have been entitled to dual citizenship, I don't know. Maybe Bradley Wiggins could have been 'a Belgium' as you put it. Lennox also holds a Canadian passport, it should be said. He holds dual citizenship but it is still accurate to call him British. In my book growing up here for 12 years makes him more British than if you were to argue he was solely Canadian.

'Jamican, hands down' doesn't come into it either.

He learnt to box in Canada were he was brought up represented them at international level in amateurs,boxed pro mainly in USA and was it twice in UK,now lives I think in between Canada and jamaica.Lets be honest England is the forest thing from his mind or he'd live here now his career is over.
