A silver also for Alex Rincon and bronzes for Gilbert Rentaria and Lamont Roach.

The new scoring system bodes well for US boxers...most have been trained a pro style which left much to be desired under the old scoring system yet US boxers in general did much better in the pros than their foreign amateur counterparts. With the new scoring system, US boxers should do much better during these four years leading to Brazil...the new rules totally benefit countries with a more pro style like the US, and other countries within the Americas Confederation....
