Who will our next world champ be?

Post by Autobarn »

macklin's fighting the brutal WBA champ (and Olympic medallist) golovkin this weekend.

bellew won the 2nd elim for the light heavy title, now held by Canadian puncher Adonis Stevenson.

kell brook, despite having to pull out vs welter titlist devon alexander, surely will get his chance give he won that gruelling IBF elim vs carson jones whom he rematches next month.

khan has been linked to fighting alexander, after the 3rd cancellation of alexander-brook. just as brook had a shaky win over jones, khan looked vulnerable in beating Julio diaz in his welterweight debut.

George groves - could he get a shot at the WBO super middle title held by Stieglitz? the germans wanted to make Stieglitz-Abraham 3, milk it for all it's worth, but the last I read negotiations were not going well. froch said he'd fight groves if he becomes mandatory, which is apparently possible due to some of the top contenders being busy with fights or injured.

Darren barker takes on Daniel geale in august in atlantic city (the same night that cleverly steps up vs kovalev in wales).

this could mark a good flurry of world title challenges, kicked off by martin murray's narrow loss to p4p entrant Sergio Martinez, ola afolabi's near miss vs huck and Jamie McDonnell's exciting and accomplished win over mexico's Julio ceja.

Bellew vs Murat for a vacant IBF title.

Unless Barker defeats Daniel Geale.

Macklin is far too game he will get KO'd after another valiant effort.Golovkin is a beast
Bellew has a shot probably nearly as good a chance as Khan has of beating Devon.
Stevenson was mandatory for Froch and noone thought he would trouble Carl not saying Tony is on a par with Froch but he is bigger and if he can regain some power from somewhere who knows.
If Kell blasts Jones assuming Carson isn't a complete push over this time round has not impressed since their last fight.
But if he pushes Kell into a top performance then the fires will be lit again.
Its a possibility Khan beats Devon then vacates to fight Floyd Kell fights for the vacant and wins.Floyd beats Khan then Kell gives Khan a shot at regaining the title and ends Khans career at the M.E.N or 02 next September :DDD
I think Groves is gonna get a world title but not for 18 months and its possibly gonna be Froch who he beats but he is not ready yet.

Would like to see him do it but ....

Even in Kell Brook fan fantasies he goes the easy route.
