Rees v Crolla (time of fight)

Post by glens73 »

I noticed on the Sky Sports TV guide that the Rees v Crolla show runs from 8pm - 2am. Does this mean that Rees v Crolla isn't on until we'll after midnight?

Exactly what I thought especially as Macklin won't be on till 4am and Sky are not like BN showing all the fights.

Was thinking of going as it is local to me, but not so keen if the main event is not on until we'll after midnight, recipe for trouble, scousers, mancs, etc,.

this fight could be ace.

the british lightweights have put on so many terrific fights - Matthews-crolla 1 & 2, rees-matthews 2, Andrew murray & john Watson, crolla v Watson & Farrell (and down at 130, sykes 1 and morris), Mitchell v murray and murray's gruelling EBU fight vs el ouazghari...

this should be another terrific one. i think crolla will show something extra, open rees up and chop him down in an intense offensive battle.

Bolton boxing starts at 6pm so I doubt Crolla will be on much later than 10.30pm. Assume they are going live from the US at midnight.

Bolton card is 8-2am on sky I guess maybe they will show Rose and a few others later on? Then Macklin is 2-6.

I would think that the whole show would be on the red button and the show continuing until 2am is just so they can talk shite or show fight replays for a couple of hours to fill time until they go live from the US.

I hate it when they talk shite for ages! It just gets tiresome.

i think rees will be dangerous early. he can throw the kind of shots to surprise crolla. we saw what happens when crolla doesn't see the punch coming, the right uppercut and the left hook vs matthews 1. rees throws sneaky punches, & add to that, is hard to hit clean.

but i think if crolla presents a tight, sensible game early, not taking too much damage and being sharp, work the body and try to take rees during the final third fade that always comes - then he can do it.

Shit! Does that run until 2am? You know what? I'm off round my parents on Saturday to watch the Lions game, I was going to stay and watch the boxing in the evening.

I checked that it started at 8pm, and thought it ran until Midnight. I aint sat around until 2am watching it. I'll get it Sky Plussed, and then pop round again for Sunday Lunch. I may not even be fussed about it enough to do that.
