allegedly teaming up with Maloney and Hatton.

Post by DMA1987 »

Have just raised their game. People said domestic cards were their weakness, looks like they could have just sorted it.

Hatton
Maloney
Mcguigan

All now BN promoters.

He can now probably have my tenner a month.

Still has Martin Murray - he definitely has some big fights in him. Plus now some of his younger ones will get the exposure they deserve.

You are right about it being great for boxing though.

Steve Wood puts some very good shows on; I hope they can work something out with BN (if only to spy Woods' daughter again who is beautiful).

Why not. Could even televise them and show them on a highlights show in the week. Got to be better than already shown re-runs.

In an ideal world.

Means that Etches will be getting some air-time though Parsons.

Coldwell has got a somewhat decent relationship with Hearn though hasn't he.

sounds like a last resort from hatton either that or lose everyone. i doubt much will change. matchroom fighters won't fight on another show unless its a purse bid situation, hennessy fighters will only fight on channel 5, maloney only has price and there's a good chance he will lose next week.

Done deal mate, all sat there at the same table smiling.

Sure I have seen a quote from Hatton calling it 'an honour'. Or something like. I had to do a double take.

I'd pay £20 a month for allegedly with what they're offering now, especially with HD.

I love B0x Nation but the Standard Definition feeds for the US fights are average at best. Its tempting for the average fan to wake up the next morning and download a high definition file of the fight. They have to make the switch to HD sooner rather than later, maybe the fact that FW is in final negotiations with Bill Ives about acquiring a major shareholding in the channel would provide them with the funds to make the switch.

Spectacularly premature.

I don't think allegedly is break-even yet.

It`s good news and if they live up to there promises you could be right but their is a long way to go and they will need lot of subscribers to pay for all the production cost for these new shows. If Sky stay interested or even give him more dates then Hearn is in a great position especialy with the stable he has got now but this new deal will make things interesting.

I cancelled my Sky yesterday, when they asked me why I told them that I disagreed with their boxing policy and the amount of shows broadcast didn't justify my subscription. The Sky employee on the phone actually agreed with me :o

Here is coverage of the story in the Daily Mail:

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/boxing ... Hearn.html

"W@rren and his new allies have agreed to channel all of their boxers and promotions on to allegedly"

"SKY had appeared to be on the brink of establishing a monopoly with Hearn until allegedly found millions more in funding"

Where did allegedly find this extra funding?

Could this put pressure on Hearn at domestic level? With Hennessy on Channel 5, and the rest of the UK's major promoters gravitating to allegedly with their fighters, what top domestic opposition will Hearn’s stable have? Surely it's going to be difficult for young British fighters coming through, who want to compete for British honors, if the rest of the top level talent is locked up on another TV channel.

Just watch the next Wood show - very good cards, well matched boxers and she'll maybe be there - a lovely looking woman.

Easy Tiger ....

McGuigan has got one boxer - and either way he won't be fighting Quigg who has moved to Matchroom.

Hatton has got Murray.

Maloney has got Price

We are not talking about dozens of competitive fights about to happen any time soon.
