Domestic Featherweight Division .

Post by damianhucker1 »

Outside of the top of the division ( Selby , Murray and Lindsay) , In my view weve got a few hungry younger guys coming through who between them will add to the division in such a way that i can see the featherweight division becoming one of the more interesting divisions Domestically , and in a year or 2 some of those may also be looking at those top 3 , in fact 1 or 2 of them probably already are apart from Selby who i believe is far above the rest .

When you look at the rankings theres some interesting fights involving the following guys to be made over the next couple of years im sure .

Josh Warrington
Samir Mouneimne
Leigh Wood
Jon Slowey
James Tennyson
Rhys Roberts
David Savage
Lewis Pettit
Chris Male (not so young but deserves to be part of this group)

Thats just off the top of my head , i may have missed more .

Obviously i have my own favourite in Leigh Wood as ive known him for a while and he boxed on my first ever show. a while before he was pro , hes a lad im backing to do well , and in my opinion is the pick of those named above outside the current top 3.

Whats your views , do you agree the division could be hotting up quite nicely ?
Who do you think is the best of that bunch (or someone i may have fogotten about ) ?

great line up and some cracking fights their, chris male and josh warrington had an absolute war for the english title wud have been great for tv fair play to both lads putting their 0's online wen others didnt want to know (4 lads 2 r on the list) . chris has decided to move up to super feather at this stage of his career 9st is to much for him to make. i think josh warrington and lindsey r the best on the list after selby. also i think smith can still make the weight he wud he a force as wud jon simpson who is rumoured to b dropping back down. wud make a cracking prizefighter if they did it
