David Price says Fury gets KO'd by Haye
Re: David Price says Fury gets KO'd by Haye
Enjoyed that, thanks for posting.
I'm going to the fight next weekend and really hope Pricey can get his revenge with a good win to put himself right in the mix. I still think he'd KO Fury if they fought and it's a fight I could see being made if Price beats Thompson and Fury loses to Haye.

My pleasure!!! Thank you for checking it out. I'm big supporter of Price. I'm predicting he gets revenge on Thompson with an early KO. Also, a fight with him and Fury down the line is still as big as it gets for UK heavyweight boxing. (With the obvious exception of Haye-Fury at this very moment)

Price shouldn't say anything until he gets passed Thompson. If he can't, then he has no room to talk. Mark my words, he's still nothing but a robotic china chinned giant. He could train with Lennox Lewis for a year and it still wouldnt make a difference, the man still has weakenesses that can be easily exposed. Jesus bless.

I don't think Pricey will ever share the ring with Fury. If they had fought when they should have ( Fury "went in another direction" ) then I think Price would have stopped him.
I think Thompson will beat him again and it will be a long road back for David unfortunately.

Not only does he have that weakness, he knows it and he boxes accordingly - not as much as Audley, but lets see how he reacts after being ko'd last time out.

So if his that bad are you predicting defeat against Thompson again ?bripez wrote:I agree completely.HomicideHenry wrote:Price shouldn't say anything until he gets passed Thompson. So it doesn't matter that Price has a china chin right?HomicideHenry wrote:The problem with that argument is that this is the heavyweight division. Any man 200+ pounds, no matter his skill level, lands on another man's chin (I dont care how far up the ranks they are) is going to put someone to sleep. Sad to say that I am. I would have loved to have seen a Price / Fury fight, but I can't see that happening now.jessi wrote:So if his that bad are you predicting defeat against Thompson again ?bripez wrote:I agree completely.HomicideHenry wrote:Price shouldn't say anything until he gets passed Thompson. I was surprised that Price has taken this fight and think that behind the scenes this is a "shit or bust" fight for his promoters - if he loses again that will be the end of him as a "prospect", and his promoters want to find out now rather than waste any more time and money.
I just think that if he gets hit on the chin he goes down - and if he goes down he does not recover well (unlike Fury who has been put down and got up to win).
I think he will box a very cagey fight at long distance just sticking his ram-rod arms out to keep Thompson at bay, but sooner or later it is likely that Thompson will land one on his chin.
I do hope that I am wrong though.

Let's look at the bare bone facts on Price okay?Lenny wrote:HomicideHenry wrote:Price shouldn't say anything until he gets passed Thompson. If he can't, then he has no room to talk. #1- He never defeated anyone who was really stellar or on a world class level; the best win he ever had was a 1st round kayo over McDermott who is clearly a British level fighter
#2- Everyone wants to go on about how Price would have beaten Fury, but let's be real here Fury took the harder road to get where he is at; Sure Price can say he took lesser quality fights so he could hold onto the Lonsdale belt, but if you say you're the best you say to hell with that shit and you prove it, dont keep fighting men in their 40's with double digit losses--- he willingly and intentionally held himself back because he knew damn well he doesn't have a chin
#3- What is Lennox Lewis going to teach this man in two months? There's that saying you can't teach an old dog new tricks, but the same is also true of a young man who believes his own hype. Price is an arrogant, full of himself piece of shit. All he's ever relied on was his size and one punch power. In this rematch, he tries to be cautious and box he will be outboxed by a world class boxer in Thompson whose been there and back. If he tries to trade and throw bombs (which is really his only chance) Thompson is tough enough, saavy enough and experienced enough to parry and block most of those shots and catch him again.
#4- Now, mind you, what I did say before about anyone being a heavyweight manages to land on someone, its lights out, is true---- BUT---- there is an exception to that rule, and that is a man with far better skills, far tougher career, and experience. Price, when he boxes, is too mechanical. Thompson is fluid. Price when he slugs it out is reckless. Thompson when he throws power punches, does it properly, setting his man up with shots and then gets him in the trap. I aint saying Price cant land, but to land flush repeatedly on Thompson? I don't see it. That is the game plan of a fool and Thompson is too experienced and still has plenty in the tank to let that happen. If Price wins this, it will be by the narrowest of margins and/or by the proverbial lucky shot after being dominated for the longest of times. A win over Thompson must be convincing and quick, or else the word is still out on Price that he is still far and away behind Fury in terms of ability.
Mind you, also, an ammendment to the "if a heavyweight lands someone is getting kayoed" rule is that its a big "IF". Surely Price has the puncher's chance, but you can't knock a man out when his chin isn't there to be hit either. Thompson is a man who went several rounds with Klitschko and it took a long time to stop him. Price, for all his power, is nowhere near Klitschko power. This fight could go the distance, but I don't see it happening. Price will eff up again and it will cost him dearly. Jesus bless.

If Price does beat the Tiger then that win eclipses any win on Fury's record I think.
Thompson is arguably US number 1 heavyweight as it stands!

Re: David Price says Fury gets KO'd by Haye
It depends on HOW Price beats Thompson. If he does it convincingly then he is back in the running. But if it goes a long twelve rounds, or is even life and death struggle, then Price is far and away nowhere near being ready for a top ten spot. As for Thompson being the #1 heavyweight in America, that is sort of laughable considering Thompson was all but written off before stopping Price. I guess it also comes down to what is your definition of an American, because Tomasz Adamek is HUGE in Atlantic City and on other Easten Seaboard towns and is an American citizen though he was born in Poland. Adamek I would rank higher than Thompson. Steve Cunningham 'beat' Adamek and Fury kayoed him. So it is what it is. Personally I think Malik Scott and Eddie Chambers were/are the best American born heavyweights, and ironically Tyson Fury hires them reguarly as sparring partners.lillywhite14 wrote:If Price does beat the Tiger then that win eclipses any win on Fury's record I think.

Our radio network is #1 on blogtalkradio for the past three years. ATGRADIO the website is in the top 400,000 in the world. For a bunch of armchair critics and ex-amateurs and pros we do a damn good program. As for Cunningham, it only benefited his career. It was all a work. And he changed his damn tune pretty quickly by saying Haye couldn't beat Fury and all, so guess he's finally waking up to his senses.Teddy's Toupee wrote:Is Homicide Henry the tool who bad-mouthed Steve Cunningham on his vanity project radio "show"?

I like David Price, hes honest, hes a realist, and he doesnt talk sh1t. Not sure about a glass chin, its heavy weight boxing and any HW can go over if they get caught. Even LL went down against someone he should have beaten. I agree with Price, Haye should win by KO.
Re: David Price says Fury gets KO'd by Haye
What is great about the Price Fury rivallry was how different they are, that helps sell the fight as the general public attach themselves to one or the other. What ever level the fight takes place at, its a genuine opportunity for domestic boxing.
Re: David Price says Fury gets KO'd by Haye
Yes; good point. It would be a very good match up and good earner even if Price were to lose to Thompson again and Fury lost to Haye.JamesH wrote:What is great about the Price Fury rivallry was how different they are, that helps sell the fight as the general public attach themselves to one or the other. Yeah but you are massively biased towards Fury. I like both David and Tyson, so my take won't be influenced as to 'who ends up looking better' when ranking fighters.HomicideHenry wrote:It depends on HOW Price beats Thompson. With Thompson, people thought he was over the hill based on his age and not being very active. Nobody other than Wlad has shown him up where it counts, in the ring.
We shall see how it all stands after their next respective fights, which I think they will both lose actually! ( assuming Fury does fight Haye )
Could them losing to Thompson and Haye respectively put them on a path towards each other? Perhaps. Truth be told, it should have happened back when Price was mandatory for the British.
