What I find most amusing is Eddie never gets riled when asked about Frank but when Frank gets asked about Eddie or any Matchroom fighters he goes off on one as if someone's insulted his Mother.

I don't understand why everyone is so pro Hearn And against Warren?? allegedly has the bigger and better fights... He's offering the fight and Hearn is saying no.. I'm not fussed either way on them but Hearns recent shows have been rubbish. Can't see them now competing with allegedly. What would you rather do pay £15.95 to watch Froch v Kessler or £10 to watch Mayweather v Alvarez.. Know what I'd rather be watching

He hasn't got a good word to say about anyone that isn't in his camp. I'm not saying he's always wrong, but he has to remember a fighter's out to earn money. Without the boxers, there's no boxing. Right or wrong regarding the emails, he is very bitchy. Eddie Hearn in contrast plays it right by keeping his mouth closed.

So....

Frank makes an offer that Eddie turns down. Frank spits feathers over how someone could possibly turn down a genuine offer; then

Eddie makes a counter suggestion about a fight at 168, which Frank turns down and then spits feathers about over the suggestion that Clev could possibly even consist a fight at 168; then

Frank ups his offer which Eddie promptly turns down.

I didn't realise that all offers have to be accepted. Does Frank automatically accept all offers for his fighters to fight on other promoters shows, away from his own TV station? Of course not. The guy is a deluded old fool if he thinks anyone will be taken in by this ranting nonsense. He should concentrate on his own stable and securing those fights that always seem to fall through at the last minute before accusing someone if endangering the health of boxers when all that he'd done was offer a fight at a weight at an indeterminate point in 12 months or so.

Are Eddies actions there any more dangerous than throwing Najah Ali in with a fringe world level contender at a significanty lower weight in Paul Butler at less than a weeks notice?

Frank is deluded! Why should froch change his weight to fight a no named fighter who is is the weight above? It makes no sense what so ever, is it not the same as Hearn saying il tell u what frank clev v haye. il tell haye to come in 2 pound lighter than usual

There must b at least 10-15 bigger names at s middle and light heavy froch could fight.

Absolutely brilliant interview . I'm sitting here giggling to myself ,the wife thinks I've lost the plot.

I'm sending a written offer to FW to fight Eddie Hearn over 3 , 2 minute rounds in my back garden at 200 pounds ,winner takes all , for a purse of a bag of carrots , some shallots and a broken spade.

If thats not acceptable I'll throw in some peas but only if they fight at 190 pounds .

That's a huge "if".

What happens to Clevs marketability if he's splattered by Kovalev? HBO have hitched a ride on the Kovalev bandwagon, Clev is being brought in as a name opponent for their guy, no matter what the bullet magnet will try to have us believe. HBO will only be interested in Clev if he wins, and wins well.

Well if clev loses, it's forget froch and back to the drawing board, but IF he wins (and yes that is a big IF) his just catapulted himself even closer to it !

I think HBO will only ever be interested in getting Clev beat. If its not the next guy they will try find somebody else. I hope he's as good as some think.

I read today that Eddie Hearn has never met FW. I found that mildly amusing.

I agree with you Mickey.

From a neutral point of view, a guy who has dynamite in his hands who is massacring former world champions in a couple of rounds by KO is a lot more appealing to a TV broadcaster, than someone going UD12 with non-champions and completely unheralded names.

Throw in the fact that one is based in America and the other in Europe, and you can forgive HBO for rooting for one over the other.

Clev needs to really put the boot into the guy and try and force a stoppage or box his head off for every single round to win them over.

It can be done, but it will be a very tall order. This guy is no Jeff Lacy and can mix it up. He's only been over once, and that was off a thunder bolt thrown by Darnell Boone.

As we all know, Bogeyman Boone has dropped many a name like Andre Ward and sparked out Adonis Stevenson - but Kovalev got up and won. They had a rematch and Kovalev dusted him a lot faster than Adonis did in his rematch.

People go ape about Adonis power, but that speaks volumes.

FW is bitter and twisted and he has fooled me too many times for me to believe much that comes out of his mouth anymore.

However, I don't see what's wrong with this offer, Froch has loads to gain by fighting Cleverly - £2-3m in his pocket, possibly a belt at another weight, a victory against another British 'world champ', he doesn't lose his SMW status and he'll be pretty much the favourite to win. And if he doesn't win he can always say that he's stated plenty of times he's not a LHW.

FROCH DOESNT NEED CLEVERLY

If Froch goes up to LWH for Hopkins but not Clev, fair enough, Hopkins is a legend so Froch will have to match him. Clev will match Froch

Yes but he'd have even more bargaining power going to Hopkins with a belt, plus as I already stated he's got plenty to gain, esp 2-3 MILLION pounds.

From what I hear he got just over a million for the Kessler fight.. Hearn values him above the 2 million Warren offered though!! They won't get that for fighting Hopkins!! Looking for the safer options if you ask me and hoping Hopkins will be finished by the time of the fight. I think the real reason is they don't fancy the job it's a no lose situation take 2.5 million win and you have Super fights at either weight lose and you still have these fights. Whereas he fights Groves next and loses he's done..

Yea, you're right, Eddie and Sky should let their prize asset, their number one (active) fighter just go and fight on their main rivals channel. Makes all the sense in the world, that does. Instead, the fight's not happening because Froch is ducking Cleverly????

What a great interview. Got to love being a boxing fan in the age of YouTube. I like it that FW will actually quote numbers involved.

He might have got a basic purse of a million or so for that fight but I'll wager he more than doubled that after PPV's.

Is Froch v Cleverly really PPV? I'm sure they would sell it as such but really? Not for me.

Froch v Cleverley is bigger than Froch V Kessler.. I believe this is a win win fight for Froch so don't see your point at all!!
