BoxRec has Alex Watson, middleweight, 40-42 / 2-1-1, boxing in CA.

Watson Jones has (Alex Watson) in RRB 1950.
LA,CA / 42-56 / 27-21-3, boxing in CA. Light heavy-heavy.

Same boxer? Can I add Watson's record to Jones's and make it one?

I would think that would be right. When you link the new bouts mention that he fought as Alex Watson. This is in case, we find out later that Alex Watson was not Watson Jones. It also helps people understand what they see if they question the data.
