Lb 4 Lb Best boxing Nation ??

Post by damianhucker1 »

I was just thinking about that for a small island we as a nation produce a good number of World Champions .

Just got me wondering Who are the best Lb 4 Lb Country in producing world champions relative to the size of the country and Population .

Id Imagine us Brits are pretty high up , but who are the tops.

I think the most underachieving country must be without doubt the Chinese .

With a population of about 3.5 million, and 46 world champions, I'm going for Puerto Rico.

Fair play Damo, they are not a nation that are interested in boxing, if they did, they would
be a powerhouse.

It would be like saying the most underachieving nation in... baseball is Great Britain - not many
people play it.

But to answer your question, I would say Puerto Rico but honourable mentions would be
Ghana, Denmark and Jamaica.

I meant in the context of the topic , ie most world champions relative to size and population .. I realise some countries prioritise different sports , i dont imagine theres many cricketers in china either , in fact in many sports there doesnt seem a big chinese participation but in those they do they generally do well .
