Jim Watt vs Arturo Gatti. What If?

Post by KOJOE90 »

For the WBC Lightweight Championship over 15 rounds who would have won between the tough, ringsmart Watt and the blood and guts warrior Gatti.

Interesting matchup... I'd go for Watt by decision... may depend on where the fight is though... it would be very close with Gattis strength and power causing Watt trouble and Watts cleverness and sharp punching giving Gatti fits... both would end the fight pretty cut up!... :box:

I pretty much agree. This is a tough one to pick in one way as either guy could cut up the other. However cuts aside I just feel over 15 rounds Watt would be clever enough to box his way to a points victory.

If Watt could hang in tough and take the shots Alexis Arguello landed on him, he could handle whatever Gatti had to offer.

I fancy Jim in this one too.

One of my favourite bouts is his bloody war with The Bubblegum Bomber.

Yeah, excellent fight that was!
O'Grady was exciting.
