I think AIBA president is sick, he dont really know he want..I wonder how AIBA can control both amature and pro boxing... Just confusion they are creating every where.
Re: World Series of Boxing
So far BOXREC has still not included the WSB results in the database despite comments from several editors in this thread.
Will you be including the upcoming AIBA APB pro bouts in your database or is that also somehow not deemed professional boxing?

There is also a show from february 9, 2013, in Reno, Nevada included http://boxrec.com/date_search.php?yyyy=2013&mm=02&dd=09. It´s strange why only a few WSB shows are recorded and not the rest.

Re: World Series of Boxing
That show was run by the Nevada Commisson that is why it was reported to box rec as some from Florida and California have done. AIBA and WSB don't want their shows to be reported as Pro but they are. Sad part about not reporting these fights is these fighters leave AIBA with a large amount of pro fights there and come into a professional fight as pro debutors.locoxelbox wrote:There is also a show from february 9, 2013, in Reno, Nevada included http://boxrec.com/date_search.php?yyyy=2013&mm=02&dd=09. How's this WSB/Boxrec/Pro record site integration thing going? I hope to see Boxrec continues with this good move and makes proper listings as should be.
Re: World Series of Boxing
So far nothing. So far it appears that the BOXREC editors have decided WSB is not professional boxing despite AIBA itself calling WSB professional. Am I wrong - will BOXREC finally recognize WSB as professional boxing?Samurai's slice wrote:How's this WSB/Boxrec/Pro record site integration thing going? I just posted the first AIBA APB event in the scheduling forum. I wonder whether they will add that to the schedule or whether APB - "AIBA PROFESSIONAL BOXING" will also somehow not be considered pro boxing.

Re: World Series of Boxing
There are many of us that know this is pro boxing at it's worst but as long as the Europiones don't realize that this is professional boxing we can not post here is what I am told. The bad part of WSB fighters is they get mad at AIBA and WSB then go to professional promoters and start off as Pro Debutors some of them have 15 to 25 or more WSB pro fights and then are sometimes matched with kids turning pro that have less that 10 amateur fights and in one case i know of the kid never fought amateur and had to do his pro debut with a ex WSB pro. I believe this is this wrong and our responsability to boxing should be to count all professional paid fighters records. That is my honest belief.yu265545 wrote:So far nothing. Re: World Series of Boxing
What makes a "pro boxing" match... "pro" and counted/stored on BoxRec? I say count these fights.. excluding the "walk overs".
Re: World Series of Boxing
The Ring Magazine has weighed in on this debate with comments from BOXREC head honcho John Sheppard. :

Another opinion that WSB bouts are professional and should be included in the BOXREC records.

Re: World Series of Boxing
WSB AIBA ARE PRO FIGHTS I HAVE SAID SINCE DAY ONE. ONLY ENGLAND AND THE REST OF EUROS ARE AFRAID TO MAKE WAIVES TO AIBA BUT THEY ARE PROFESSIONAL BOXERS LIKE IT OR NOT AND ALL THOSE FIGHTS SHOULD BE ON RECORD. IN THE UNITED STATES MANY PROMOTERS COUNT THOSE FIGHTS AND WE ALL SHOULD.
THIS IS OLD NEWS AND SOME DAY THE REST OF THE WORLD WILL CATCH UP TO THE UNTIED STATES AND KEEP RECORDS CORRECTLY.
