Shut up, you boring git.

Do you insult people so readily in the real world? Show some self respect and stop blathering on with the same tired insults.

The top ten?It is not an insult.

We got to the jist that despite Rees being an ex world champion and long time Euro champion, you considered him not an elite lightweight, and beating him still makes a fighter not very good.

Now I want you to be able to make these feelings reality. Because this evening Anthony Crolla has a high ranking due to the lofty position of Rees, whilst you think that is unfair.

So people can bleat that he needs to fight X, Y and Z but it doesn't matter, he has the ranking...tomorrow morning, he will still be highly ranked. Your opinion is totally irrelevant, unless you change that.

Good luck...your passion shines through
In all honesty do you think Anthony deserves a ranking in the top ten based on last nights or any previous fights?

Ricky Burns is far above the rest of the domestic fighters.

He should only consider fighting a domestic fighter again if they have shown that they are the clear No. 2 in Britain. Crolla has not shown himself to be the clear No. 2 British fighter whatsoever, so at the moment Burns should not waste his time with him.

I don't know much about Beltran, I'll have to watch some videos of him.
But you stated Crolla was worse than Beltran.

On what basis if you don't know much about him?

His record.

Do you work for Sky? There seems to be an unusual amount of hypejobbers on this site at the moment.

Crolla is not very good! I don't like to put down British fighters, but let's face reality, the guy is a hype job with limited potential.

A record says very little though doesn't it?

I mean, comparing records Carl Froch has a better career than Joe Calzaghe, but if they'd ever have met then that wouldn't mean squat would it?

Can't quite see how he's a hype job though; he's a decent British level fighter who's just got the biggest win of his career to put him in the mix below world level - I actually agree with you that I think a world title shot would be both too soon, if he's actually going to be good enough, and ultimately detrimental to his career if he gets Burns next up.

That said, the fact is none of us (except you Bill :TU:) actually know how good Burns is on a world level, since the best name of late on his record is Kevin Mitchell who, lets face it, is a similar level to Rees.

I'd actually be far more interested in Crolla v Mitchell next - that would answer a lot of questions.

No, it says a lot.

Yes, it would.

Crolla vs Mitchell is a great fight to make. Hopefully, that is the fight that will be made after Mitchell's warm up.

I think Crolla has just beaten a highly ranked fighter, and will therefore, deservedly, get a high ranking himself. He shouldn't be punished for being Anthony Crolla and get no credit.

I do however think that Ricky should be fighting the likes of Vasquez and Abril. Crolla would be an underdog, and Ricky needs to be at the top table. My issue is that he has a high ranking after beating a top contender and has earned a shot more than loads of world title challengers

Question, would you have fought Rees if Rees had got the decision? For you, is this a case of the winner fighting for a world title against as long as that winner was Rees?

Simple answer to that is he's been in and beat fringe world level fighters several times and is rated in top ten by all organisations

Only problem I have about Beltran is he got stopped by Diaz who to be fair isn't at the elite level. If Ricky want to get to the Elite level not just world class the fights need to be at that level. But as Billy has said him and Ricky want the big fights but they don't decide. Beltran and Crolla are quite similar in where they are at in there careers so to fight one and not the other is a bit hypocritical.. I think talking up Beltran is wrong in my opinion he's a fringe fighter same as Crolla. Nothing to gain for Ricky in this fight and everything to lose silly fight in my eyes.. In saying that I believe Ricky would and will stop both if the Crolla fight also happens.. As a big Ricky fan I want to see him in the big fights win or lose but cementing his legacy as Scotland's best ever which he would really deserve because you won't meet a harder working nicer guy.. Billy could Ricky not put his foot down and say I only want the big fights with the big names?

Problem with that is there is always a mandatory challenger who isn't a 'name'...

I think Gavin Rees was all set to help them cement that legacy
