No need to rip him to pieces lads.
He's never any good. He is rubbish.

Matchroom really can't find anyone better? They should hold auditions as soon as possible to find a No. 2 guy to groom as his replacement.

On a side note I'd bloody love to have a go at doing the ring announcing!

I like John; ok maybe he isn't the most catchy of MC's in boxing but he's a good guy; he did a fantastic documentary on the radio about the Thrilla in Manilla recently.

I'm an incompetent waste of space, that doesn't mean I have patience with clowns like McDonald.

I understand he is good at announcing darts, so he is good at something.

Nothing against the guy, but he sucks at announcing boxing matches, so they should get someone better.

I'd just like him to get people's names right and say them so they are at least slightly legible. He's too busy growling away to actually realise he's fornicating it up big style.

That was bizarre.

He just seemed to completely forget what he was trying to say, mid growl.

eeeeeeeerrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

I wonder if he went for a slash in between fights and bumped into someone having a sneaky joint and had a toke or two???

We had one the other night who referred to a fighter who shall not be named for comical reasons as "Womble" instead of "One Bomb".

So for example during introductions

Garyyyyy "Womble" Roberts
instead of
"Garyyyyyy "One Bomb" Roberts

I'll tell you a couple of things about John McDonald behind the scenes. Firstly , he never forgets someones name - which surprises me about the mistake he made on Saturday. Secondly and most importantly, he is a great fan of all the boxers and cares passionately about them. Have a look at previous shows , when a boxer is hurt , who is first into the ring, alongside the doctor, showing obvious compassion. Yes, he's a cheeky so and so, but deep down a decent bloke and doesn't deserve the criticism from some of the half wits on this forum. One of whom openly admits being drunk and taking illegal drugs , which I assume is what he meant with 'Bobby Hope' .
