Seamus wrote:Sugar Ray Leonard tormenting Duran till he quit is one of my favorite, as is Barry McGuigan winning the title from Pedroza, and the Rumble In The Jungle, Hearns putting Duran face down for the count, Douglas KO'ing Tyson, Toney taunting Roy Jones Jr and getting floored for his audacity. So many.
I guess you did not see or want to remember the first Roberto Duran VS Ray Leonard bout. I don't blame Duran for stopping what I wont dignify
by calling it a fight. Leonard should be embarrassed acting like a clown in the ring. Also, there is only one Sugar Ray and it isn't Leonard.
It's Sugar Ray Robinson. I Just feel bad for the fans who paid to see the fight. but they weren't getting their moneys worth anyhow with Leonards
nonsense. It was like watching the WWF.

Cripes, I'm a big Duran fan, and I do hold SRL in high regard as well.

The only behavior I saw from Leonard in the second fight, was the same behavior I saw from Duran in the first.

That of a "winning" behavior.

Another one of my favourites is Holyfield beating Tyson. I didn't think Evander had anything left. Amazing night.

First major moment was McGuigan beating Pedroza. Next was Barrera beating Hamed. Then Holyfield besting Tyson.

Other favourite boxing moments:
The look in Adey Lewis' eyes after being dropped by Peter Culshaw. I knew at that moment Lewis would go on to win.
Gatti V Ward Round 9.
Clinton Woods finally winning the world title after going the traditional route.
A one armed Danny Williams v Mark Potter.

1. Roberto Duran vs Davey Moore: Over 20,000 thousand fans at the MSG in NYC saw the Hands of Stone get the redemption. Duran led a chorus by making his fans chant his name: "Duran, Duran, Duran, Duran, Duran"....A night I will never forget.

2. Muhammad Ali vs Leon Spinks II and the undercards: My first time watching a live fight on tv of that magnitude. Ali recovered his crown for the third time. Other fights in the card were Jorge Lujan vs Alberto Davila, Mike Rossman upstets Victor Galindez and the fight of the night between Danny Lopez vs Juan Domingo Malvarez. Nights like this do not come very often.

3. Marvin Hagler vs Vito Antuofermo. And when one of my favorites, the great Sugar Ray Leonard stops one of those boxers that I always hated at the time, the great Wilfred Benitez. I jump for joy when Leonard stopped him in that fateful 15th round.

4. Julio Cesar Chavez stops Meldrick Taylor with two seconds left

5. Roberto Duran avenges his first loss against Esteban Dejesus

6. Duran stops Ken Buchanan in a controversial fight.

7. And of course, Duran whupping Leonard in the first fight. I went bezerk!!!

Jones - Tarver was good after that guy predicted Jones would no longer be the same after some loop hole in testing closed down his lawyers. When Jones put in a lacklustre performance it was very amusing.

Foreman winning the championship back had me jumping for joy.

Barry McGuigan beating Pedroza.

Hearns dropping Leonard for the first time in the rematch, a weight from Tommy's shoulders was lifted.

Ray Leonard announcing his comeback. So exciting that he was coming back into the sport.

Duran knocking down Barkley...the fat man still had something left...

The last comment was a miracle for me. I have never seen nothing like it. That is why I got to rate this fighter as one the top 5 best ever.
