You're giving wlad far to much credit he planned to destroy haye "pizza face" "50th ko" or whatever he had promised in the end he could only do enough to edge each round. At no point did he give haye a beating or even really hurt him in fact the only meaningful punch came from haye. Wlad did the running he threw a couple of jabs then jumped back out of range and didnt engage; he controlled the fight in that manor but I highly doubt his plan was to let it go the distance and have haye walk out without a mark on him then sit there in the interview with a black eye himself.

Columbo, whilst I completely agree with the essence of your post, there is a reason that I feel Finn needs to be taken down a peg or two.

Whilst it is very obvious that this is an internet forum, and that everybody has their own opinion, and indeed the right to express it, it shouldn't mean that outright falsehoods and revisionism with an agenda should go unchallenged.

His glib remarks about Wlad going backwards, and David coming forward for most of the fight, and that David was unmarked are perfect illustrations of this. Outright falsehoods are a feature of many of his posts, even when there is solid video footage and photos that show the lie.

I must admit, I find such easily disproven falsehoods quite bizarre.

By all means, anyone should express an opinion. This is why we are here.
However, if I consistently make a habit of lying, for whatever agenda, I should rightly be brought to book for it by other posters.

We may have people believing in the future that Joe Louis had the benefit of a long count against Tony Galento, who, by the way, was looking good for his substantial points lead against the Brown Bomber.

when did i say this. if ive got an agenda why did i post a link to the fight highlights from the klitschko youtube channel to prove my point and say haye was rubbish, where as you posted a video of Haye showing his toe and claimed wlad was in total control of the fight implying it went completely to his plan. I think someone has an agenda.

Finn, my thrust was that it was a distasteful chant, used by certain elements.
It has never been used by any rugby crowd for just those reasons.
Rather be complimentary to the opposition, as it does reflect on your team/champion that the opposition have the guts to be there to compete. Their best efforts reflect upon your own teams/champions efforts, particularly if you end up victorious.

I'm quite aware it is used in certain sports. Doesn't mean I like it, nor that it has always been used in the past.
Travelling widely, I can honestly say that, apart from football fans in other nations, it is almost unheard of by foreign fans of other sports, particularly at something as innocuous as a weigh in.
It's why it is looked down upon with bewilderment when it happens overseas by the travelling fans at things such as the weigh in.

I may or may not be originally British.... it hardly matters now in any event at this point in my life.
I've lived for various parts of my life in London, Ely, Cornwall, Preston, and Bristol.

It was years ago, so perhaps we should just agree to disagree.
