First time I've been brought to tears laughing for a while, just got me that did Got everything else right though and I don't think he's as bad as some are making out

My 9 year old daughter has no clue about boxing for obvious reasons, but after showing her the growl and explaining what he should have said instead, she loves it.

Last night as I was walking past her room, I heard the growl being repeatedly replayed, follwed by solid giggling. It`s nice to see the youth of today taking an interest in boxing, regardless of the reasons behind it.

You're a good dad sir aha And it's true, who cares how people get into boxing, great to see it influence young people. I'm 17 and I'm almost seen as weird for being such a big boxing fan and not being as much into football or rugby As for this I keep remembering it and struggle to control my laughter, it has made my day

His announcing 'style' is like a bad parody of an MC, he's one of the most arrogant people involved in boxing, I don't like the way hands out orders (more than once I've seen him bark at overseas fighters and physically push them towards a corner) but the thing that REALLY pisses me off is his leaping into the ring, turning over KO'd fighters, pulling out gumshields and making a big show of guiding them back to their stools.

This is responsibility of the ref, cornermen and in extreme cases paramedics.

He is. Unfortunately his 'Growl-itus' has progressed even further since last weekend, and every fight will be introduced by unintelligible growls and snarls.

I would expect Mcdonald to be doing the darts all weekend .
Last weekends fiasco was an embarrassment and very unprofessional but life goes on and in fairness he generally does a decent job.
His usual replacement for matchroom shows when otherwise engaged is Mike Pass who for me is the best this side of the water,so hopefully he will get the nod for prizefighter.
