This is the fight where Audley discovers that once you move out of journeyman class you actually need some sort of engine to be successful. His workrate is hopeless. He might be stung into action a few times early, but for 12 rounds? Nah, forget it.

This will be nothing like the Klitschko fight, I get sick of seeing this ridiculous comparison. Vitali would wallop Audley inside 2. They are poles apart physically.
Audleys not had his stamina tested yet and as for fornicate ALL strength   tell Robert Wiggins that.

Danny won't be able to get anywhere near Audley and when Audley lands the BIG left and hurts Danny he'll be finished off in style.

Audley and Vitali are poles apart in terms of boxing skills :o

Well its make or break for Danny, if he can't get up for this then he'll be through. But I actually think this is a good fight for Danny, when he was going to face Skelton he was the man with more to lose but against Audely I think many will see Danny as the underdog and this could work in his favour. But the thing about Danny is noone will really know till the fight starts what Danny Williams will show up.
I'm hoping that he comes in no heavier than 252 to 260.... speed could be a big factor in this fight.....

IM NOT A FAN OF AUDLEY BUT I THINK A WIN HERE WILL SILENCE SOME CRITICS(SHOCK?) AND MAYBE WAKE HIMSELF UP AND REALISE ITS TIME TO GET GOING.

DOES AUDREY REALLY HAVE THE DESIRE?OR WAS HE JUST IN IT TO MAKE A QUICK BUCK OFF OF HIS MEDAL?

I would like Williams to win but just don't see it happening. He had natural speed and athleticism but piss-poor boxing smarts and his weight is outrageous. Why he decided to bulk up to an absurb 265 after getting stopped by Sam is a big ? . . . .bulky muscles don't protect your chin. He got away with it with an old worn-out after 2 rounds Tyson but Klitschko a fighter with at least SOME movement exposed him as having cement shoes. Harrison no doubt probably can't take the best shot and can't keep up a good pace, but a 270 lb Williams isn't going to show that. Harrison is also smart, and will fight cautious with his long jab until he explodes with his faster hands and boom Williams is out by round 5.

audley was sometimes struggling at journeyman level. audley really does have a lot to prove in this williams fight.

williams is easily the best opponent that audley has ever faced. :box:

True, but as ever the outcome of this fight largely depends on Williams frame of mind come fight night.

I think this fight is pretty, but I'll be cheering for Danny. Does Danny Williams have a boxing nickname, what is it?

while I am entirely ambivalent about the result in terms of which fighter to support , I think a win for AH would be a much better result for boxing in general.

DW has little or nothing left to offer the sport apart from a gradual decline to named opponent. While AH, despite being definingly indolent, does have his best fights ahead of him not behind him.

Well Francis was pretty decent when he first fought Williams and beat him on points and Williams froze that night... but the next time they met Danny destroyed Francis in about 4 rounds... and this is compared to Audely having to go the distance with Julius only last year.

To be fair silkov these were two different versions of Francis - one which left gaps, the other which curled up.

Yeah, but come on, a world class fighter should be able to take Francis out. Audely actually looked like he was struggling at times against Francis, especially in the later rounds.

That first win against Williams for Francis was the best of a very good year for him - 1999. First he saw off Pele Reid, after everyone said that Reid was the next big thing, Reid got done in 3 rounds! Then he beats Danny, and Danny looked absolutely awful that night. Then he beats Scott Welch on the Hide V Klitschko bill. If that Francis had turned up against Audley, I'd've put my money on Julius.

It's a case of whether Danny goes out there and wins it or does what he did against Sprott (and to some extent Klitschko, ie too heavy, totally wrong tactics) and go out and lose it.

Audley does seem to have got himself into good shape at the very least and I expect him to step up a level or two. He'll handle the pressure okay, because you don't win a gold medal at the Olympics by being suspect under the pressure of a big occasion.

I've a feeling it's two men meeting going in different directions and depending where each of them are is a big factor on the outcome of the fight.

If Danny can come in focused like he did against Tyson, you have to go with him based on his experience, power and ability.

If he doesn't, then look for Audley to tie him up, pepper him with jabs and come through the odd crisis to stop a fading, swollen up Williams in 10 rounds or by a two/three point margin on the scorecards.
