Jenkins from 'Prizefighter'

Post by Eddy »

Very impressed with him. I think he has it all. Great character. Has a Roy Jones Jr style.

I love watching 'Prizefighter' I think 3 rounds gives the fights more action. Nothing worse than watching a boring 12 rounder.

A certain Welsh person I know had a decent sized bet on Jenkins, really been raving about him for a while...then again he raves about Cleverly's opponents ;)

x2

And to think beforehand a lot of people were pessimistic about this one as there were no 'names' in it! Turned out to be a good tournament I thought!

I must have missed this - do you have a source?

Good news if true - seems to be a really promising, exciting prospect with excellent variety. He's got a good jab and was able to vary his style against the different opposition which bodes well.

Ah ok - thanks. I checked Eddie's twitter and the only mention of Jenkins I saw was that he'd signed up to twitter. I must be going mad!

Was well impressed with Jenkins. Did everything right, great shot selection and read the fights well. As someone said, he has s great character too. Usually get bored with prizefighter but really enjoyed watching this one.

Eddie was with him at the press conference after the final. I'm guessing this is normal for Prizefighter but the noises made it seem like he would sign with him.

One question: Does Matchroom have options on all of the fighters who take part in it or can a fighter enter independently?

I'd heard only good things about Jenkins so had a decent bet on him myself to win PF. Was glad to see the reports were true when I actually saw him box first hand. As has already been said, this lads got a very bright future.

Paul Boyce is hosting an evening in the Bluebell Hotel in Neath tonight, basically a post-fight party for Chris and it's open to literally everyone. Great gesture from them to the fans, it starts at 7pm.

Pretty sure they can be independent/promoted by someone else
