Let me just check to see if both men are elligible - I'll let you know in a matter of minutes.

A unifaction is not possible this week. Ezzard Charles has successfully defend the WBC title three times in a row, and thus he will always be able to unify that title for every week that he holds it for the rest of the season.

Tommy Loughran has defended the WBA Title twice in a row - and he requires one more title defence to be eliggible for a unification.

Sorry to piss on your parade, but the rules are the rules - we are very close, but we just aren't quite there yet.

Tommy Loughran:
Week 10: beat Dariusz Michalczewski
Week 09: beat Bernard Hopkins
Week 08: beat Gene Tunney (won the WBA Title)
Week 07: beat Young Firpo (rematch of the title eliminator)

Bernard Hopkins believes that this is a fallacy and he plans to expose it... Surely you, as an honourable man that you claim to be, won't chicken out... Will you?

Harold is not elligible for a World title shot this week. You can't defend against him.

Jimmy Bivins has challenged Loughran but he would be willing to step aside for the greater good should Loughran choose to attempt unification.

Loughran isn't eligible yet to unify, so count us in for the Bivens fight. If Maxie holds onto his title, maybe him and Dillon can go at it in two weeks.

Jack Dillon will take on Donny Lalonde, thus we are good on our fights for the next two cards.

For our Four World Champions: - Here are following elligible challengers for your World Titles:

7 Tunney
8 Rosenbloom
9 Bivins
10 Fitzsimmons
12 Moore
13 Hopkins

NOTE: The "coming off a loss" rule is back in to effect. As such, the above are the only elligible contenders.
Moorer (ranked 11th) has already accepted a WBO fight against Spinks.
I will give Bob Fitzsimmons a crack at the title if he so wants it. Considering him and Lewis were the only men to either win decisions or score a draw over Charles, team homicide is looking to clear their name by wiping clean the slate and showing Mr. Fitzsimmons he is not the better man. Jesus bless.

If Fitz accepts the WBC Title shot then this could really clear things up for the IBO Title. If he accepts the Rosenbloom vs Fox will go ahead for the minor belt.

Let's try this again, as it appears it was not acknowledged from the 1st page.....

Smokin' Joe Choynski calls out 'Nard Hopkins.

If B-Hop chooses to avoid us, then please match Smokin' Joe with Tavoris Cloud

Well I suppose corruption had to rear it's ugly face, Imagine Crease operating as a respected commish, takes it on himself to decide that one Harry Johnson is not appropriate for a champion to beat on.

So the International Boxing FRATERNITY will sanction two commish managed fighters to square off?

Something must be wrong here. But Tommy Gibbons will accept this "inside job" where the commissioners ultimately run off with a belt.

Well frankly Mr Buzz, I don't see how corruption is taking place... We are only playing by the rules - Harold Johnson is not ranked in the top 14 - thus he cannot get a title shot.

As matter of fact, this ugly word that you use "corruption" WOULD be taking place if you were allowed to defend against Johnson - because that's going against the rules.
:shame:
BoxBuzz wrote:So the International Boxing FRATERNITY will sanction two commish managed fighters to square off?
I didn't call Gibbons out as a Commish, I called him out as the Manager of Bernard Hopkins... The very fact that we are the Commish's is purely coincidental - it was inevitable that are fighters were going to meet somewhere down the line.
BoxBuzz wrote:Something must be wrong here. But Tommy Gibbons will accept this "inside job" where the commissioners ultimately run off with a belt.
If anyone believes that something is amiss, I would encourage them to look at the facts and approach me about it.
It was done by standard procedure:
1. I offered you a possible title defence against Hopkins (who is elligible)
2. You accepted "the inside job" as you put it.
3. There is nothing back-handed about this.

Fight signed.

And thanks for the opportunity - shoiuld be a good read.

Expect nothing less than a "by the book" "standard issue" "under the rules" catastrophic beat down of monumental proportion.

Well you're probably right - Gibbons has been mightily impressive thus far this season, definitely looks like he'll be one of the top guys.

But we at Don Krease Productions Incorporated make a committment to our fighters that we will find a way to match them against the very best fighters around... And Gibbons certainly look like one of that elk.

Looking forward to it, hoping that Bernard can go all 15 rounds, it'll be a great education for him.
