I imagine it's to do with their different standings, Gavin is fighting at British level, how good do you expect his fights to be?

I can't argue at all with your reasoning and I don't think that Kell deserves a bout like that until he has proven himself at that level. It does though resemble the Haye v Fury bout and is driven by economics. It would be a big bout, be a high paying bout for both men and good for British fans.

Honestly if Khan loses convincingly to Alexander then I don't think he will be a route to anywhere. It will become a good domestic fight.

I don't want to see Brook fight Khan in expense of a title. I wanted Brook to get in there with Alexander as I thought he would beat him, I still do. But if Khan beats Alexander then the fight vs Brook is nothing but legitimate.

It is also worth me saying that I think Brook has taken an extremely easy route to a title shot, but I don't blame him as much as others do. Not in the same way I would if he was making easy defences.

There's a lot of piggy backing on known names and loads of ambitious boxers and their mates/camps are guilty of it; with what Khan has accomplished in his career though at a similar age to Brook you can surely imagine that it'd feel like a piss take.

There was a period of time when i really did think Brook was the second coming of Naz but he,s in danger of pissing it away,i dont like the way his way his weight fluctuates between fights,never a good sign about a fighters habits between fights,IMO he,s definitly good enough to win a world title but lesser fighters have done it by this stage,Cmon Kell get a move on son

If Kell can't get down to welter for his foot injury he shouldn't be boxing on this show if he's a proper welter. The fellow is not busy enough by half and from the sounds of it a lot is psychological and motivational - believe me, a lot of people in the every day working world get a lack of motivation for their jobs. I agreed with a post above that doubted the nutritional advice after he sagged v Jones the first bout. His trainer is a fantastic physical specimen but boxers need different muscles and masses than body builders. I hope Brook does not turn up looking ripped and getting gassed and bashed up. Jones was a handful for him last time and I imagine he wants the win.

His trainer always got Johnny and Junior in great shape for their world title fights. But he slung your chum out of the gym so you're still having sly digs years later.
