Elite Heat Team ready for Jr. Nationals

NUTLEY, NJ (July 8, 2013)—This coming week three distinguished members of the McGirt / Elite Heat boxing team leave for Mesquite, Nevada to compete in the Jr. National Golden Gloves Tournament.

15-16 Year old Shakur Stevenson will compete in the 114 pound division. Back in November, Shakur was honored as the Junior Olympic Boxer of the Year by the New Jersey Boxing Hall of Fame. He is coached by his grand-father Wali Moses, who is now a National Coach and Rob Griffin, who the VP of the NJ Association of USA Boxing,

Vito Mielnicki Jr. will take part in the 11-12 year old, 75 pound weight class and he will be looking to become a three-time National champion as he won in 2011 and 2012.

Malik Nelson will fight in the 13-14 year old 75 pound division and he will look for back to back titles.

The stacked team, which placed 3rd nationally, last year, will bring 20 fighters to the tournament

You guys have really talented kids and deep numbers every time I saw you at Jr Gg gloves this is a good tournament
