Vic Darchinyan Nonito Donaire 2

Post by ryan711 »

Vic Darchinyan Nonito Donaire 2 looks like it might happen in November with news from Top Rank.
"HBO is giving him a date in November and we're talking about a rematch with [Vic] Darchinyan," Arum said. "That's the fight Darchinyan wants and that's the fight that [Donaire manager] Cameron [Dunkin] wants

Vic gets a nice payday to ease him toward retirement and Donaire gets to KO (again) a fairly big name.
We don't really need to see this fight but TR wants Donaire to look good again after disappointing performance against Rigo.

I know rigo is a slick boxer, but I think vic would be better off fighting him instead of donaire.

vic probably has roughly the same chance of beating either of them, but there is much greater things to be gained from beating rigo atm than donaire.

Why at 38?

Vic's a fighter through, through but this fight should have happened at Super fly.

Im with Frilla - pumped for this if it happens.

I just love watching Vic fight, always looks for the KO, very entertaining even it it opens him up to get kO'ED again.

Im not sure it will be good. I see it being like the first fight. Except maybe a bit more brutal at the higher weight.
Donaire early KO.

what wasn't good about the first fight? dominant world champ hunting down a young underdog, but unable to catch him and then BOOM, you buck scores a missive KO in a huge shock. That is what boxing is all about.

If this rematch happens, someone is getting KO'd - I admit its probably 80% chance it will be Vic, but there is still that 20% chance vic turns the table, which is a better chance than anyone gave nonito in their first fight.

Plus it will be better than watching rigo fight.

Rigo takes very little risks and avoids engaging in heavy contact. I prefer to watch Vic, but that's just me.
