We will have in Week 14 and it will be the winner of the two Tommys. Either Gibbons or Loughran will hold the Lonsdale Belt next week.

Hank, as a fellow Manager I sympathise with your predicament. Cahrles was the first guy to defend a World Title three times consecutively. However, on this occasion you have been frozen out of the Unification negotations.
All you can really do at the minute, is ake the best of it... Ezzard is still a World Champion - and perhaps next week, why don't you call out the winner of Loughran/Gibbons?
HomicideHenry wrote:Team Homicide, decides to give MICHAEL SPINKS, the WBO CHAMPION, a shot at UNIFYING titles. THERE CAN ONLY BE ONE. Let's get this unification going, what say you Spinks?
I fear that Team Homicide will have to be patient - as Michael Spinks has only defended his World Title twice.

I have recieved complaints that we are allowing "HW champions" to compete in this division. I had no idea such scurruolus and scandolous actions have been taking place here. Such complaints should be taken seriously by the board of directors.

Those accused of being "ineligible" to compete in these games are as follows:

James J Braddock
Floyd Patterson
Ezzard Charles
Gene Tunney
Michael Spinks
Tommy Burns

(It is especially concerning to some that a commish representative is a part of this issue.)
Perhaps the managers of these fighters should simply, willfully, respectfully and with expressed enthusiasm, simply admit their complicity and select another fighter from our fine array of bums...uh er....PARTICIPANTS.

Otherwise Crease and I will be forced to explain (to those demonstrating confusion), why it is OK for them to be here, and have to overule such petty concerns in a formal fashion. This would be full of paperwork, and litigous activity, unseemly for a SimForum that has NEVER KNOWN A HINT of scandal in the past. (Unless you count the two and half unexplained vanishings of past commisioners, the "Payola" Scandal of previous years).

I have no problem with any of the fighters in question remaining in the Sim. They all competed at Light Heavyweight regardless of whether they were Heavyweight Champions. Whoever's making the complaints, stop your bitching and just try to manage your own fighters better you pussy.

Sorry D, but I agreed to a Spinx-Patterson rematch. Should Spinx win, he will happily defend against Moorer.

What about Moore Vs Fitz? Both seem to be ignored by everyone with a worthless strap.

I don't know who the source of these complaints is but one thing I would ask the person is this:

Are you really saying that you want this season without some of the truly greatest Light Heavies in history?

Talking about expelling Ezzard Charles, Gene Tunney, Archie Moore, Floyd Patterson and Michael Spinks is unthinkable for a few reasons...

1. The season definitely would suffer in terms of the level of quality.
2. How could any Sim Champions profess to be the best of his season without some of the top guys to challenge him.
3. There's a strong argument to be made that the above five guys are perhaps the 5 Greatest Light Heavies of all time... How can we not have them in this?
