But beforehand; which fights exactly were 50-50 last Saturday's card? Hindsight is 20/20. Sure Matthews-Coyle was a cracking fight as was Brook-Jones. But beforehand Matthews was a clear favourite as was Brook over Jones according to the bookies.

I'd just like to know the sequence of events that leads a Board affiliated doctor to rule a boxer out? Did Carl have an ear complaint so his team called the Board who in turn sent a doctor to look at him and the doctor ruled him out? Did he hurt his ear previously and the doctor picked it up and wanted to look at it again before he next boxed? Did Carl know he couldn't box because of his ear so his team called the Board doctor so it gave more credibility to him pulling out?
