Light Heavyweight thrashing machine Ezzard Charles, who calls himself the greatest light heavyweight who has ever lived, wants to make it clear that if he is indeed successful against 'Clean' Gene Tunney he wants to fight Tommy Loughran to finally have an undisputed linear champion. "The fans are tired of Loughran's ducking and dodging. I challenged him from the beginning, him and Tommy Gibbons both, and it took me several weeks to get Gibbons. Loughran got his hands on a belt, and started running some more. I want to prove to the whole world who the best light heavyweight is in the Sim. HOWEVER, if Loughran doesn't accept this, then I want the winner of Spinks and Patterson so we can carve out a whole new course of a linear championship," said a more than frustrated Ezzard Charles.
Team Homicide president Rufus Defibaugh made this final statement concerning the events: "Mr. Tommy Loughran was offered to fight Ezzard Charles in a unifier. The commissioner Crease made it clear that Loughran had only defended his title twice, so he was unable to do unification matches until he had three successful title defenses. So we made an agreement that in week thirteen the two men would meet. When he came to make the match happen, Loughran already made a deal and the commission told us that Loughran would be fighting for the first linear belt in the Sim. We obviously were upset, and we want to face Loughran immediately after he wins the belt. If he doesn't win, we want the other man. And if he don't want it, we want the winner of Spinks/Patterson so we can finally have two unified champions on the Sim and put the pressure on Loughran. That is all, Jesus bless."

Re: Ezzard Charles: "Tunney First, Then Loughran!"
Please show me where I said we would meet in week 13 in a unification bout? The most I ever said on anything is when Tunney asked for a rematch and I told him I'd either rematch him in week 13 or unify with another champ, which I have with Gibbons.

GOD DAMN!!!
This season is hotting up.

This season is hotting up.
Re: Ezzard Charles: "Tunney First, Then Loughran!"
Until the outcome of Tunney and Charles is settled and until the Tommyknockers are sorted, this is all imaginative pie in the sky.
We imagine that it could be Gene Tunney and his crew we will need to negotiate with as of next week.
However, We are an open minded organization....and will state openly that The Charles- Loughran fight that HH is proposing could possibly help sort out one of the eligible opponents that Gibbons may consider as worthy to his future Lonsdale legacy.

It occurs to me that I have offered Gibbons to other management options should any sim member feel there is a "conflict of interest" that an acting commish also be managing the greatest LHW that ever lived.
However I must stipulate that if/when Tunney hands Charles his arse, and HH is ready to dump his prize stablemate, I will be hard pressed to accept HH's wish to take over Mr Gibbons management.
We all know that HH is a "good times" manager. As long as his fighter wins, he's on board, but will turn his back on his own fighters when things get rough. When HH desserts his esteemed fighter, and comes begging for mine, It is my hope that someone else, anyone else steps up at that time. Gibbons deserves a true manager who will be there for him in the good times and in the "reconstruction" phase. (Should we ever be faced with hard times....hard to imagine as that is.)
Thank you for your time and consideration on this critical sim matter.

Bullshit. Pastrano was just simply a mistake. Nothing but a lazy idiot who didn't bring his best to the table come fight night. When Charles had a draw and a decision loss to Fitzsimmons and Lewis, you didnt see us packing it all in. No, by the contrary we fought back harder and have given both them men rematches and showed our dominance. We are tired of everybody running scared from the best man on the entire sim.BoxBuzz wrote:It occurs to me that I have offered Gibbons to other management options should any sim member feel there is a "conflict of interest" that an acting commish also be managing the greatest LHW that ever lived.

Read the WEEK ELEVEN thread. It was IMPLIED that following Loughran being successful in defending his bogus title three times that in week thirteen after rematch week there would be a unifier between Charles and Loughran. Jesus bless.armageto wrote:Please show me where I said we would meet in week 13 in a unification bout? Re: Ezzard Charles: "Tunney First, Then Loughran!"
Week 11 to Fist of Legend (Bivens)-
Loughran isn't eligible yet to unify, so count us in for the Bivens fight. If Maxie holds onto his title, maybe him and Dillon can go at it in two weeks.
Week 12 to bengulnaci1 (Tunney)-
I think week 12 is set up as a re-run of the first actual week of fights, that was counted as an exhibition. Week 11, Bivens asked for a fight, so Loughran is signed up to fight him then. I never like to look too far in advance, but if everything goes well, we have a good shot at rematching in week 13. That is assuming Tunney is still eligible at that point and Loughran holds onto the belt. It will be that or unification with another champ, either or...
Again, I'm at a loss where you find I backed out of a fight. This reminds me where you called out a few guys, claiming they were running from Pastrano in week 1.........only to end up dropping him a few weeks later from multiple losses........

geto is always reciting "facts".....very annoying. But often useful in establishing the reality of various situations.
When this happens it is helpful to spin another yarn, exaggerate, or resort to fiction to bolster you own claims of legitimacy.
This sort of technique can be used to fool the likes of Owl and some others.
AS for GBP, we tend to simply illustrate past performance as an indication of likely outcome. We tend to bully'em and sully'em without fail......and there is no reason to think that's not going to happen this week.
