Jamie McDonnell
Anybody know when he is making his 1st defence of his 118 IBF Title??
Re: Jamie McDonnell
All very quiet, probably down to the lack of TV deal, I'd think about taking him over to America to make his name over there.fightscorecollector wrote:Anybody know when he is making his 1st defence of his 118 IBF Title??

His promoter or manager said that was what they planned on doing.expe wrote:All very quiet, probably down to the lack of TV deal, I'd think about taking him over to America to make his name over there.fightscorecollector wrote:Anybody know when he is making his 1st defence of his 118 IBF Title??
Re: Jamie McDonnell
i hope he can have more world title fights in Doncaster. because I fancy going. Jamie wins some close decisions, well deserved ones, but i'd hate to see the verdicts go against him away from home.
Re: Jamie McDonnell
The problem is the lack of a TV deal and suitable venues in Doncaster. The Ceja fight made a big loss and the Keepmoat is only realistically available once a year, the other option is the Doncaster Dome, but they can only fit 2,100 in there which isn't really enough to cover a world title fight. The other option is to go to Sheffield where there's bigger arenas but without a TV deal they'd have to sell a lot of tickets just to break even, so going to the US or fighting on the road is the best option.Autobarn wrote:i hope he can have more world title fights in Doncaster. because I fancy going.
