We've had many debates about who's the hardest puncher, p4p in history, but who do you think is the weakest?

Which fighter couldn't knockout a greenfly with his best punch, yet alone another fighter?

I nomimate, British featherweight & Sugar Ray Leonard lookalike, Mr Colin McMillan!

He had very good skills, but virtually no power whatsoever!

maxie rosenbloom?

Willie Pep is probably the highest regarded fighter with the weakest punch.

Pernell Whittaker was quite feather fisted too.

Former lightweight contender and boxing whiz Orlando Zulueta -who fought Joe Brown for the title- only scored seven KO's in 126 fights.

Jimmy Dundee….1 KO in 128 total bouts.
Young Farrell…5 KO in 250 total bouts.
Young Papke….6 KO in 200 total bouts.

Willie Pep could hit hard, his record is just decieving, sort of like Jimmy McLarnin, who had a low KO percentage, but was regarded as one of the hardest hitting fighters of his day! Had Pep fought nothing but tomatoe-cans he would have had a very high knockout percentage.

Former Olympian Paul Gonzales. Gonzales came into the pros highly reguarded. He appeared to posses all of the tools that make a fighter great. Except when you would hear the results of his latest fight he always won by decsision, sort of strange given the fact your earlier fights are against easier opponents. His lack of power ended up being detrimental to his career. He ended up with only three knockouts.

Light Heavyweight Mike Quarry didn't posses much of a punch.

Saoul Mamby,Nicolino Loche,Sammy Serrano,Tyrone "Butterfly" Crawley to name a few more.These guys could be working a heavybag made of jello,and couldn't make it wiggle.

Billy Conn was a great fighter but wasn't much of a puncher at World level.

Billy Conn was no big hitter for most of his career. Also Gianfranco Rosi. I think it might have been Gil Clancy who said he used to tell his fighters "Don't ever look at your opponent's low ko percentage and assume he can't hurt you, because if you do, before you know it you'll be on the canvas".

Cesar Rene Cuenca seems to be a current feater-fisted fighter with a record of 23-0-0 (1 KO) in 24 bouts, though I've never seen him fight.

Coming into the Pastor fight, Conn had fought only 2 heavyweights and his record was 50-10-1 (7 ko's)

Not at heavy......but Paul Spadafora - great boxing skills, weak punch.
Hector Camacho - don't count his TKO of Ray Leonard when they fought.

jack sharkey u could mention cause he only had 14 knockoutss in his career but its very misleding because sharkey early in his career recorded most of his knockouts but due to terrible hand problems, he evolved into more of a boxer. but sharkey did have a hard left hook, he came close to knocking out dempsey early.

Good call.

Skilled fighter though, just seemed to lack enough pop in his punches and general ruggedness to win the big ones as a professional.

I always thought Dokes power was slightly above average to be honest. Young wasn't a hard puncher as a rule but if he put his mind to hit he could dig to the body pretty hard.

On the occasions when I saw Dokes he never seemed a pitty patter to me.
and I never thought that "dynamite" was a terrrible misnomer. maybe not the greatest description but not the worst.

Except for the fight with Mundine which made him look like Marciano....... Sven Ottke is a light hitter!

Michael Dokes was no Earnie Shavers, but he was not Maxie Rosenbloom either. He was an average heavyweight puncher at least. He had more than 50% of his opponents beaten by KO which is good! Doesn't belong on this list!

Now I see quite a few jump to Dokes defense.I never said he was the weakest puncher,but when you think "heavyweight",you think power.And compared to many top heavyweights,Dokes didn't have it.He may have been tough,and had speed,but he wasn't a big puncher.Look back at his fights,and you will see.Again,I NEVER said he was the weakest,but he was( from the fights of his I have seen),not packing heavyweight power.He was tough,and definitely no push over,he was a quick fisted,strong chinned,light punching heavy.It's just my opinion.Everyone knows speed kills & surprises,like he did in the 1st M.Weaver fight, when the referee stopped the fight WAY too quick,as Dokes swarmed Weaver with stunning combos.I still think he belongs on the light punchers list,

I think when Dokes would through those quick flashy combos then there wasn't much power at all in those shots and he was a bit of an arm puncher

however no way does he deserve to be mentioned with the lightest hitting heavys of all time
