Looks like BJS could have his hands full on Saturday night
Re: Looks like BJS could have his hands full on Saturday night
No chance he'll fight Ryder in September bound to get injured or cut in such a tough fight.

Been thinking the same-Can't see those two fighting in September.

8 weeks before the fight any type of injury or cut and it's off.Terminator666 wrote:Been thinking the same-Can't see those two fighting in September.

Is O'Sullivan that good though?!WelshJack wrote:No chance he'll fight Ryder in September bound to get injured or cut in such a tough fight.

I haven't seen him much in all honesty, but It is a 12 round fight against an undefeated fighter while Ryder had a 6 round fight against......columbo wrote:Is O'Sullivan that good though?!WelshJack wrote:No chance he'll fight Ryder in September bound to get injured or cut in such a tough fight.

Spike mistook BJS for BJ's

O'Sullivan looks very limited to me. This should be an easy night's work for Saunders.

Ive only seen O'Sullivan a couple of times,i remember him being a tough SOB,didnt he beat Mattew Hall :??
Re: Looks like BJS could have his hands full on Saturday night
Very tough lad with decent skills. Tough fight for BJS and a there are a lot of people writing Spike off without never have seeing him box before.columbo wrote:Is O'Sullivan that good though?!WelshJack wrote:No chance he'll fight Ryder in September bound to get injured or cut in such a tough fight.

If its the bloke that beat Hall on points (barely) that I am thinking of then Saunders will destroy him.

I was trying to think of something funniermagnus wrote:At least one person clicked on the link :)iamasadlittleboy wrote:Spike mistook BJS for BJ's
"Spike has a hard on for bout with Saunders"
"Spike shows Saunders how hard he'll be"
"Saunders wonders if Spike will be as hard in the ring"
ETC ETC
Re: Looks like BJS could have his hands full on Saturday night
I was at most of Spike's early bouts in Dublin and around Ireland when we had tons of shows each year during the boom. He was vicious in that class, belting people left, right and centre. Obviously Saunders is a different proposition and will undoubtedly be favourite but O'Sullivan is a handful and Eamonn O'Kane has been sparring him said he hits like a mule. A real heavy puncher.

why not just be obvious like the guy who just wrote a comment saying "o'sullivan looks like he has a boner"iamasadlittleboy wrote:I was trying to think of something funniermagnus wrote:At least one person clicked on the link :)iamasadlittleboy wrote:Spike mistook BJS for BJ's

I've backed Spike to win by stoppage at 14/1. Only because I know thats what he is going for and its good value. Also done Scott at 10/11 to win by any method
Re: Looks like BJS could have his hands full on Saturday night
Well, I'm glad that this thread has sparked some discussion, albeit not in the slightly schoolboy way I intended.
Spike's press releases are talking up his punching power, I'm not sure what to think in that regards. The quick stoppages of Clark (not many get rid of him in a round) and Long (no other stoppage defeats) suggest he can punch, but Morby and Healey have lasted the distance with him. Either way, seems a risky fight so soon before the Ryder clash.
I'd advise BJS not to punch low either. Ow!

Saunders can look fabulous or half baked, I don't know if it's a mental thing. I've not seen the other fellow box, if he beat Hall on points (didn't Saunders beat him too) he must be half decent, Hall could punch his weight.
