Imagine if Golovkin-Quillin was added as well, what a show that would be, no other fights would be needed.

Wow that would be impressive... so mouth watering makes you think could you think of a better Undercard ever?

Would not go that far, I'm not picking a winner but with Lucas's power anything can happen.

Don King used to put on some really big cards in the 90's with brilliant fighters in excellent match ups. This is an excellent bout and shows that we shouldn't be too cynical. I favour Lucas but Garcia is no patsy; I may stay up for this instead of taping it :TU:

If I were betting, my money'd be on Matthysse. Having said that, I don't think you're giving Danny Garcia enough credit. A lot of people were writing him off before the Amir Khan fight as well.

He was being schooled by khan... which resulted in garcia throwing blind Haymakers ... and one connected ... lucky for garcia khan is useless on the inside...near enough the same as derry v coyle.. garcia never gave khan a rematch... since that fight hes fought has beens... garcia isnt an elite boxer or even world class.. Once lucas disposes of him he'll just be another lacy ...

Ps im sorry that I might be a little harsh but I loath garcia which can sometimes make me troll lol :)

What makes you hate him so much? His father? His style?

The shot that floored Khan was not lucky. While he was losing the fight up until that point, garcia had landed plenty of heavy leather prior to the big left hook.

Overrated by who? Very few pick him vs Matthysse, besides the resident Boxrec homophobe on Current Scene. Many picked Zab to beat him.

You are a shattered Amir fan, aren't you?

There are a few people that say garcia is a good boxer... usually that honour falls to amercians and puerto ricans that claim he is world class .... the classic line was an US commentator saying that Garcia has everything an all round fighter... Garcia movement is not existent he doesn use his jab.. and hes flat footed... he does however have power and hes not to slow

i wouldnt pick a bison against lucas...

wow there were people picked Zab against Garcia... even though i dont like garcia even i would pick him against an over the hill Judah...

I am fan of amir and his offence but not his inside game though sucks more than judges at the pac v bailey and judah v lucas... Garcia did Khan a favour and made him buckle down and concentrate on his weakness .... his defence...

What a fantastic addition - these two combined border on super fight.
I think it was Raskin in box monthly who said Garcia looked in shock and didn't want to know after the last Matthyysee KO, but I thought he looked as cool as a cucumber and fancied the fight.
I give him a good chance against the TNT Argie, he takes a great punch, and china chinned Judah showed that the Argie isn't quite superman yet.

@ajwesty Sorry but Garcia is world class....he has the belts to prove it.
His Khan Ko was a timed counter punch nothing lucky about that.
Garcia has big balls for taking the fight.
I agree he will probably lose but to rubbish him cos he beat your boy fair and square is wrong mate.
Didnt see Team Khan scrambling for the rematch did we.

Im not here to change your mind but to me Garcia punch was not timed because his punch landed on the neck... he wasnt even looking at Khan at the time the he threw out the haymaker ... even my limited time boxing you dont look away when throwing a punch...it was more self defence after being schooled most of the fight ...

as far as i am aware Khan wanted the rematch Garcia camp didnt.... World class??/ after a haymaker punch against khan and fighting has beens is not a record of world class fighter... I am not anti amercian as i have a lot of favourite fighters that are from the US that have beaten UK opponents..

Garcia is not a good boxer IMO only time will tell ....

If the Julio Diaz fight is an example of his new found "concentration on his weakness" he is damned lucky he hasn't gotten back into the ring vs Danny.

Do you consider the Khan who so often gets caught with lucky punches world class?

TBH mate virgil has his work cut out with Khan inside work .... i would bet Khan could take danny but my money would be on Lucas if he fought Khan ... thats a difficult question but Khan offence is world class but his Inside work is poor and amateurish ... if hunter could sort out hans inside game then i think he could be world class but at the moment id have to say no...

Matthysse is the fave but Danny can crack a bit himself and am looking to see him land that hook on the Argies chin.

Your an objective and knowledgeable poster.
We will always clash opinions on Khan as you like him and I no longer do.
Should he beat Mayweather I promise to retract every negative post I have ever written on him. :DDD
