"TOMMYKNOCKERS" MATCHUP FOR LONSDALE PRIDE PROPOSED

Post by BoxBuzz »

And apparently accepted by armageto.

IBF Champion Tommy Gibbons vs WBA Champion Tommy Loughran

We are willing to place Gibbons in neutral management for rest of season if requested

Let me just check this situation out before this goes any further. Give me a few minutes.

Tommy Loughran:

Week 11: beat Jimmy Bivins
Week 10: beat Dariusz Michalczewski
Week 09: beat Bernard Hopkins
Week 08: beat Gene Tunney (won the WBA Title)

Loughran is elligible for unification with the WBA Title henceforth.

Tommy Gibbons:
Week 11: beat Bernard Hopkins
Week 10: successfully defended against Michael Moorer
Week 09: beat Archie Moore
Week 08: beat Jimmy Bivins (won the IBF Title)

Gibbons is elligible for unification with the IBF Title henceforth.

Late last night and the night before,
Tommyknockers, Tommyknockers, knocking at the door.

I want to go out, don't know if I can,
'Cause I'm so afraid of the Tommyknocker man.

Be afraid.

Nor a book. As a matter of fact, The Tommyknockers was the first ever Stephen King book that I ever read. I enjoyed it, thought it was a good book - though most of King's fans see it as one of his weaker works.

Never got a chance to read the book. Since I have some extra free time on my hands these days, I might read it though.

This lived up to it's hype. No one really won or lost. But it was plenty scarey.

Thanks geto for letting this happen. Very evenly matched legends here.

I really wish I could launch into some annoying blathering, but I just can't. For the moment I'm just imagining these two warrior souls smiling down and maybe appreciating what the digital age can do to revive interest and enthusiam for the skill and will of some of these boxing legends. In this case, these two "TOMMYKNOCKERS".

It was a good fight. Thought it could have went either way by a round, so no complaints about the loss. Onto the next week and a big fight in Tunney II.
