Saturrday 20th Wembley RBR thread (Chisora, Saunders etc)
Re: Saturrday 20th Wembley RBR thread (Chisora, Saunders etc)
He may have been more hurt than he first realised - it looked like a shot to the top of the temple.
Keithmoonhangover: I agree - he was up at 9 and a half, clearly not 10. But it's stupid to take such a risk if you're able to get up at 7 or 8.

Not 100% sure what happened there.
Re: Saturrday 20th Wembley RBR thread (Chisora, Saunders etc)
Ridiculous stoppage as he was getting up at 9.
Malik was winning that too.
Oh well, I don't really care for either fighter so off to sleep.

Well dodgy finish there!
Re: Saturrday 20th Wembley RBR thread (Chisora, Saunders etc)
If the referee makes it to 9 and you're down on one knee, what do you expect?
Re: Saturrday 20th Wembley RBR thread (Chisora, Saunders etc)
I think the klitschko's would deal with both of these pretty easily to be honest. Wladimir in particular im talking about.

It was a legitimate knockdown but another good fight ruined for no bloody reason. More of this type of match up though - was a good fight.jameswilson wrote:I'm glad Chisora has won and all but do people think the ref would count Chisora out like that?

Gene Tunney is currently rolling in his grave

He.... Was.... Up.... At.... Ten.... FACT.
Re: Saturrday 20th Wembley RBR thread (Chisora, Saunders etc)
Imagine if that was on Sky...with one of Scott's cornermen effing and blinding at the referee, they'd have spent most of the night apologising!columbo wrote:Dont think Scotts camp is happy
When they showed the replay of the count it looked like Scott got up at nine BUT...it seemed to me that he didn't want to carry on. He didn't look as bothered with the loss as what his team was. Strange one...

Listen to the post fight interview. Malik doesn't seem too bothered to lose that '0'!
There'll be no rematch, Scott is avoided, if he could punch he would be a champion by now.
$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ for Malik!

Noone's disputing that, but starting to get up at 9 in the other boxer's hometown is seriously playing with fire in this dodgy sportkeithmoonhangover wrote:He.... Was.... Up.... At.... Ten.... FACT.

Counted out in the act of rising.... he just mistimed the count. Malik just admitted he got up at nine. More like 9.5....

Vitali struggled against Chisora. I had Dereck possibly winning 5 rounds in that fight.columbo wrote:I think the klitschko's would deal with both of these pretty easily to be honest. Wladimir in particular im talking about.

Did Scott deliberately leave it late to get up (and get out)so he could blame the ref????!!!!!

It don't make it right mate. He was robbed, simple as that. Dunno why the yanks come over here.dookus wrote:Noone's disputing that, but starting to get up at 9 in the other boxer's hometown is seriously playing with fire in this dodgy sportkeithmoonhangover wrote:He.... Fighting here is like fighting in Italy in the early 90's.
Re: Saturrday 20th Wembley RBR thread (Chisora, Saunders etc)
I think Wladimir is the better fighter to be honest. Now anyway. Vitali has a better chin but Wladimir is the more skilled and a bigger puncher I think.Karl Jade wrote:Vitali struggled against Chisora. 9.5? Does that not come BEFORE 10? Is a fighter not given a 10 count to recover?black panther wrote:Counted out in the act of rising.... he just mistimed the count. Malik just admitted he got up at nine. More like 9.5....

I think the ref bolloxed that up. First of all he counted Scott out at 9 and secondly I think a bit of common sense would have sufficed. Scott wasn't wobbling about all over the place, Edwards should have looked in his eyes, wiped off his gloves and thrown him back out.
A pedantic stoppage.

Re: Saturrday 20th Wembley RBR thread (Chisora, Saunders etc)
I agree with others have said, Scott didnt seem overly fussed about the nature of the loss which gives the perception atleast that part of him didnt fancy carrying on.

If only boxing in Britain was as straight as in Germany or Turkey for that matter. I seem to remember a couple of dodgy stoppages a week ago that I got a load of shit about:
