The fighter is TBA and it's in the same empty stadium he lost the belt. I really think it's Senchenko!!!

Parsons cross says it isnt Senchenko and he's involved or knows the Brook camp in some way so going on that aswell that's why I dont think its Senchenko.

I'm leaning towards Guerrero. Mosely and Senchenko have fights lined up. Eddie Hearn has been in contact with Scaefer about Goldenboy fighters against Matchroom fighters. Lopez is on the Goldenboy card in September. That leaves Van Heedren or Guerrero. I think it has to be a name.

Van Heedren it is then! I cant see Guerrero who's just coming off his highest payday coming to fight in England for peanuts by comparison.

Seems like Senchenko's going to be out on Aug 24 on a UBP show in Donetsk. That rules him out for Brook unless date is put back to November.

Van Heerden's called out Guerrero for his U.S debut (unlikely).

It will be Lopez no doubt about it. Hearn keeps banging on about his relationship with GoldenBoy all of a sudden. good step up to be fair, if Brook stops Lopez he's right up there & it would silence the doubters.

Columbo,
I'm not involved at all.
I've known Kell since he was a kid and watched his development with glee but Im nothing to do with anything connected to his career.
The date won't change because Sky give the orders so its not hard to work out who's doing what when etc.

You definietly cant sell Van Heerden as a big name! He's relatively unheard of in the boxing world let alone the wider public! Although saying that there's probably 3 boxers in the entire world if that who the whole public really know about! I mean present boxers. Lopez you could possibly sell as a big name amongst boxing fans.

Agreed a win over Matty Hatton does not a big name make.
Preparing myself for rakes more flack if its him or Senchenko.

To be fair Van Heerdeen beat Matthew pretty well, he looked strong, fit and tough, big as well for the weight. I imagine that though he's not a big name he could be a tough bout though he seemed a bit too textbook/straightforward for Brook who'd figure him out quickly.

Van Heerden is very limited. Like you said, he's strong but I cant see him beating the top welters Brook included.

I will second that, and i will add, Guerrero would hand Brook an ass whooping, his camp would not go for this fight.

He rapidly approaching a title shot mate.

In fairness, it must be hard getting opponents at minimumweight.
