Calzaghe v Froch and Haye v Macronelli

The fights I really would like to see on the British scene are Joe Calzaghe v Carl Froch and David Haye v Enzo Macrinelli - Froch would get a hiding and learn the first rules of boxing, keep your hands up and defend yourself at all times - He keeps calling Joe out but he just aint up to the job - You cant step up from his level to that of Calzaghe in one leap,you need a lot more under your belt which Froch hasnt got yet - Joe needs a big challenge so I cant see the two meeting - Would be a good bout and sell a lot of tickets and with ITV involved should be a big payday for both men - David Haye, I just love that young man - He gives his all and is pure magic to watch - He got a boxing lesson off the super tough Carl Thompson, dont punch yourself out in three rounds, pace yourself - Davids record however still reads 14 fights 14 KOs with just one loss - Enzo is a nice lad too with great skills and also has one loss on his record - I would love to see this fight because both men are hard hitters and would fight like gladiators - My prediction is that Enzo would expect the fight to go the distance, while David would be looking for the KO - Therefore Enzo is more likely to be the winner - David needs Thompson in his corner for advice and if that was to happen maybe he could win.

Froch is the most over-rated & over-hyped fighter we have had in many a year!!!

I hope this fight happens. Time is running out for Calzaghe to fight somebody decent and I want to see him badly beaten and knocked out before he retires.

Maybe not but he'll have more of a chance than these other guys Joe has been fighting.

Calzaghe won't fight Froch. If he wins, he'll be critized for fighting an innexperienced opponent. If he loses, he'll be made a laughing stock for losing to an innexperienced opponent.

I really Hope we can finally see Enzo get the meaningful fight he deserves. IMO he's not got it yet, for whatever reason. A string of WBU 'defences' against opponents, half of which don't last past rd4 (and no offence to Enzo, but IMO that's saying more about the quality of his opponent as much as his strength.)

Basically, don't hold your breath.

And Enzo deserves a meaningful fight because.........??? He doesn't deserve a big fight, he hasn't beat anyone to deserve one, but he needs to step it up. Some of his recent opponents have been shocking...

He has the talent to take him further than where he is at present, but isn't being given the opportunities, by you know who

Sorry I f----d up the poll - Should have been four boxes - My lack of experience setting one up - Great to hear all your comments - You all seem to know your boxing and I think we can all learn something from each other on here - I boxed as an amatuer a very long time ago, and watched our Enry, Brian London etc when I was young teenager - My first memories of boxing go back to sitting in the kitchen with my father listening to fights on the radio - I just love the sport and I admire the skills and courage of those I like to follow - By the way isnt allegedly a really decent bloke!!

i think haye bushwhacks enzo mac in about 3 rds.

froch is too open for quick hands of calzaghe. calzaghe in about 6 or 7 rds.

Right now I would rather see Haye vs Mac, I think that Mac is somewhat over rated and Haye is a powerful fighter who would do a good job in felling him.

In terms of Froch I think to have that fight now would be a waist. Ametur Peddigree aside Froch has had 16 fights, I would say if he wins the European title and makes a couple of difficult defences then he would be in a better position to fight calzaghe however at the moment he hasn't had the meaningful fights to preper him for a man who is currently proberbly the best super middlewieght fighter in the world.
