Why can't they rematch?
Why can't they rematch?
At the copper box September 21st which is when Chisora is fighting again.
Re: Why can't they rematch?
Because Chisora's moving on to better things after knocking Scott out?WelshJack wrote:At the copper box September 21st which is when Chisora is fighting again.
Re: Why can't they rematch?
His opponent I highly doubt will be better than Scott so why not prove for sure he won it, I think he did and ref was right but others don't.expe wrote:Because Chisora's moving on to better things after knocking Scott out?WelshJack wrote:At the copper box September 21st which is when Chisora is fighting again.
Re: Why can't they rematch?
He has nothing to prove Scott is a experienced fighter.. He started to stand at 9 the ref had no choice.. I think he done it on purpose was too calm afterwards. He got hit and really didn't like it.. Would Scott really take the rematch for more of that type of fight I done think so.. Chisora v Thompson next then another crack at the Klitscho's if he wins

The rules tell you he was wrong.
9 is not 10, particularly when he had nodded to the ref during the count indicating all was fine.
Re: Why can't they rematch?
Would you take the risk if you were wazza.
Its HW boxing no chance Scott gets another crack .
Build on the confidence gained and obvious improvement in condition and attitude.
Wilder is a very difficult fight then depending on the outcome Vladimir or a rematch wi either Haye or Fury.
He loses 3 out of those 4 at best regardless what condition he gets in.IMO
But going backwards is not an option unless its big dough.

Anyone else get the impression kaiserbill has looked something like this continuously since the end of last nights fight?

Not really.jameswilson wrote:Anyone else get the impression kaiserbill has looked something like this continuously since the end of last nights fight?
I'm no Malik Scott fan. I think he is very over rated with a padded record.
I can't stand dishonesty or bad officiating in sport though.
I want those 25 minutes of my life back if the deck is to be so obviously stacked.
I watch sport to see a relatively fair sporting contest.
Why bother to invest your time in it otherwise, never mind those who bought tickets.

You need to be up at 8 gloves up at 9 looking in the refs eyes at 10 or its goodnight especially if you're the away fighter.
Right or Wrong thats how it is and everyone including Scott knows
He wanted out or cant count .

I doubt Dereck will move on to bigger things, with respect Scott was winning the fight and was easily out speeding Dereck.expe wrote:Because Chisora's moving on to better things after knocking Scott out?WelshJack wrote:At the copper box September 21st which is when Chisora is fighting again.
I don't even think the punch landed that put Scott down he's a embarrassment.
Big Dereck is a British level fighter tough and genuine.

Na i think the punch landed, sort of a cuffing right hander but i do agree that Scott forced the refs hand,Scotts reaction told its own storybilly nelson wrote:I doubt Dereck will move on to bigger things, with respect Scott was winning the fight and was easily out speeding Dereck.expe wrote:Because Chisora's moving on to better things after knocking Scott out?WelshJack wrote:At the copper box September 21st which is when Chisora is fighting again.

Unless your a scott fan i dont know why you would want a rematch it wasnt exactly gatti vs Ward
Re: Why can't they rematch?
Similar to Burns-Gonzales, both were winning the fight then showed no heart.billy nelson wrote:I doubt Dereck will move on to bigger things, with respect Scott was winning the fight and was easily out speeding Dereck.I don't even think the punch landed that put Scott down he's a embarrassment.expe wrote:Because Chisora's moving on to better things after knocking Scott out?WelshJack wrote:At the copper box September 21st which is when Chisora is fighting again.

Read the BBBofC rules and you'll see that you are talking crap.

Re: Why can't they rematch?
I'm a little new to all this but have checked the WBO rules.
Malik Scott was required to get to his feet before the count of ten. Not sure that anyone can argue that he didn't do this (although Buncey seems to be trying!)
So at that point the count and the knockdown is irrelevant.
The ref has to restart the fight unless, as he can do at any point in the fight, he deems the fighter to be in no fit state to continue. This then, has to be the reason for the stoppage. And the ref took what, less than a second to make that call?
As bad a call as I've seen in this country since Enzo was stopped by IJL.
Now, the fact that Del Boy would likely have won, just as Enzo would likely have lost, is irrelevant. It was poor officiating of the highest level.

Re: Why can't they rematch?
Honestly!!
Who is Scott??
We found out sat night!
36 wins who's he fought?? Chisora the most credible opponent & he melted at the halfway mark.
I've read about attracting top international fighters to this country had been ruined, which is laughable!! Chisora was the opponent the yard stick & to Scott a stepping stone otherwise he'd of swerved it.

I am not saying that its in the rules which believe me I am well familiarised with .kaiserbill wrote:Complete rubbish.TJ77 wrote:@ kaiserbill

I am saying its commonly recognised in boxing that you need to be up at 8.
It was dubious but Scott should have insured he was'nt counted out .
Your correct and im wrong but if the status quo is up at 8.
Best be up at 8.
Your passion for a fair contest is shared by myself .
However this wont rank as a bad stoppage in the grand scheme will it.
If he wanted to get up he would have earlier he did not particularly hurt to me.

See above post re the rules.
And it maybe crap in fact its definitely a breach of the rules which is shite. But as an away fighter at any level.
You get up at 8 or risk a stoppage.
Protect yourself at all times not only from your opponent but suspect officiating.

It's hardly a new problem Geaorge Foreman said the same thing after Rumble in the Jungle.kaiserbill wrote:The ref was most certainly wrong.WelshJack wrote:His opponent I highly doubt will be better than Scott so why not prove for sure he won it, I think he did and ref was right but others don't.expe wrote: Because Chisora's moving on to better things after knocking Scott out?

It was getting for Scottg in there and he looked for a way out

Here is the stoppage again the ref appears to be counting and gesturing with his hands in and up ward motion.
He doesnt even move before the word nine the ref called it right there is a mental aspect to being fit to continue.
You have to want too and not moving until the nine count and springing up like he did on the ten count.
That shot did not have that much of affect on Scott no wobbly legs or spun out eyes .
He was looking to get out if you know your boxing you can see he wasn't wanting to be there anymore.
Chisora would have jumped on him a guy who wanted to quit and possibly landed heavy shots to his head.
At there weight that is not safe no problem with the stoppage and Scotts intial reaction says it all.
Compare that reaction to the one of Jones last week a guy who needed saving from himself he reacted furiously instantaneously.
Because he is a warrior and Scott is a quitter.

A boxer should not have to protect himself from suspect officiating !TJ77 wrote: You get up at 8 or risk a stoppage.

How many times have we seen the home fighter given the benefit of the doubt when under pressure, but when the away fighter takes a good shot the ref immediately jumps in and stops the fight.
The Belelew / Mckenzie fight is a prime example of this, but there are many many other examples.
Re: Why can't they rematch?
Your right he shouldn't but if he doesn't get up at 8 he is risking being on the end of a suspect stoppage .bripez wrote:A boxer should not have to protect himself from suspect officiating !TJ77 wrote: You get up at 8 or risk a stoppage.

In this case I feel he didn't want to get up but knew it wasn't a KO blow so waited till the last second and then lets the ref take the flack which is whats happening .
I am no Chisora fan makes no real odds to me.
Im not saying its in the rules or that its right but its what happens as you say many many times its how it is.
Life's a bitch.
Our fighters go abroad and get fornicate all in the way of favours and don't expect any in fact most say if it goes to the card there's no way we'll get it.
You have to stop em or you lose even if your winning its not right but it's how it is always has been always will be bias is a part of life.
Its why home advantage is so hotly contested in negotiations.
