Does anybody think Hussein has much of a chance? I'm looking forward to seeing this one. Hopefully his corner won't be throwing in the towel if he's losing after round one.

I'm going for Scot to get home on points after a very tough fight. I make Hussein a live one though, could be a very dangerous fight for Harrison if the Aussie is up for it - and it sounds like he is.
After meeting Pacman and Larios away, he aint gonna be too intimidated on Sat night.

Should be a good one....

Lol, Stu is SOOO fond of Harrison.

What’s the deal with ITV4 now? Has it now been launched on men and motors, or will I have to tune my Sky box in manually?

Tune the box in manually, as described in one of the threads. It says ITV4 will start here at 6 PM.

I don't think Stu's been able to shake off the disappointment of Steve Robinson's loss to Harrison. Much like Robinson wasn't able to shake off that right hand sickener in the first round of that contest.

BTW, do any of you two Welsh guys (or anyone else) know anything about Cardiff's David Morris? He might have won titles with different management as far as I can see:

*) Debuts against a guy 5 inches taller than him and a weight division above. Wins.

*) In 10 total fights all-but-one of his opponents had a winning record - the only one that didn't was Michael Gomez...

*) Drew (robbed?) against Barry Jones right before Jones took a big step up in class.

*) Almost half of his opponents went on to mix in genuine title class. He went the distance with them all, and I'll hedge a bet made it competitive.

Makes you wonder if he could've made super-bantam...

Cannot remember him, although I have heard that Barry Jones' draw was a stinker of a decision that should have gone JONES' way.

As for Scott Harrison, I actually quite like him. He is strong, and tough as old boots. But, he hates movers. He hates slicksters. He lost to an aging Medina and to Polo (in most peoples eyes). The Polo fight I thought was more clear than the Medina one.

Hussein is younger than those two, taller than Harrison and a slick boxers. I took a bit of flack from respected posters on here (such as Ian "Jim" McNeilly) for going for Polo, but if the judges saw it how everyone else did - I would have be gloating that call still. I do like to occasionnally, once in a while, stick my neck out - most times I fall flat on my face (especially with my Veit vs Calzaghe 1 pick   ) this is just one of those times.

Of course I have "forgiven" Harrison for the Robinson defeat, but I do know Harrison wouldn't have lived with Stevo in his prime. Robinson's famed punch resistance had gone - he nearly floored Harrison to the body in the first, before getting tagged. Robinson would have beaten Harrison at his own game in his prime, 100% certain of that.

I have to admit I was a bit slow on the uptake. I looked at it at first and thought "Christ, that's a bit dodgy having Eugene Maloney as referee. Didn't even know he was qualified."

Hussein will get robbed just like Polo was. One of the most disgraceful decisions in recent years that one.

I presume you mean sky channel? ITV4 isn't available on sky until next week. However, all the information you need is right here, if you want to watch the Harrison-Hussein fight:

The main event tomorrow night will be refereed by Paul Thomas, while the judges will be Roy Francis, Italy's Manuel Palomo and Belgium's Andre van Grootenbreuy.

Sorry, but what a load of rubbish, it was a tight fight that Pollo might have nicked, it certainarly wasnt "one of the most disgraceful descisions in recent years" , nowhere near.

Incidentally you dont need to fart about with tuning it in men and motors are showing the fight at 22:00. They also showed the footy last night (that was supposed to be on ITV4).
