groves attitude
Re: groves attitude
Groves is alright, he's just got to say what he's got to say hasn't he ?
It's not like he is driving around parking in disabled bays, shitting money down the toilet and throwing dollar bills at strippers whilst his five kids are at home in solied nappies with five different mothers.

Re: groves attitude
Yes I have noticed that, maybe the degale win done that, maybe booth has made him like that, maybe it's pure confidence, maybe it's an act thinking more people will like him with a slight attitude ! He can be as smug as he likes whilst his winning IMOcitybluechris wrote:has anyone else noticed groves attitude has changed a lot since the degale fight? hes become more arrogant and cocky in my opinion
Re: groves attitude
Groves is a cool guy IMO. He does have terrible dress sense and ginger hair so give the guy a break.
Re: groves attitude
Seems alright to me. I quite like Degale as well to be honest. I'd be interested to have a chat with both.
I have chatted to Adam Booth and he seemed like quite a nice bloke too. Haye as well and he reminded me of a few blokes I grew up around who did alright with the girls and were popular and would be your mate one minute and then mug you off the next, depending on who you were around.

Re: groves attitude
I think he carries himself really well and has just moved to a different level in terms of confidence and this comes out more in his speech
Re: groves attitude
i agree completely , i watched the interview on sky annoucing the fight and i think groves has froch a bit mentaly as he seemed to ruffle froch a bit .keithmoonhangover wrote:Nowt the matter with talking like a winner.citybluechris wrote:has anyone else noticed groves attitude has changed a lot since the degale fight? hes become more arrogant and cocky in my opinion
Re: groves attitude
I prefer Groves to Froch, he seems a genuinely decent man and I hope he puts on a show that will do him good - win or lose.

Re: groves attitude
Words fail me sometimes.
There are plenty of doubters in the boxing world, maybe to be a success some of these fighters need that cocky streak, a bit of arrogance or confidence in there abillity.
It's not like Froch isn't as smug as fook on occasion (proclaiming himelf a top 2 brit of all time recently?), all these conferences are boring and cliche, im surprised people take much note of them anymore.

Re: groves attitude
i don't see the problem, he hasn't quite got to the level of calling Andre Ward a bum and saying he's the ATG super middle weight.
Re: groves attitude
I think its as plain as you can see that George Groves is a really genuine, decent bloke.
The chat before fights is all bollocks in fairness and both guys will do what is necessary to sell the fight.
Both decent guys, good fighters.
Froch at this stage is too good and strong for Groves and I think he will win via late stoppage.
However, Groves will eventually be a world champion and have a very good career.
Fair play to him for taking this fight at this stage of his journey.

Becoming more of a character gets the big fights eh... that's all it is.
