Nor a terrible fight. It's a step up from Jones, not massive but also he's a bit of a name for putting a line under Hattons career. Anyway Parsons Nose says it's not him and he has the inside track and wouldn't lie to us.
Putting a line under a shot Hatton who hadnt fought in 3 plus years doesnt mean anything! He also got his head boxed off by Malignaggi who whilst a good fighter isnt exactly a top 5 welter.

At least Brook is keeping busy, Senchenko isn't a push over and will have his own ideas - he faced a hostile crowd v Hatton and stuck the rough patches out; he will come to win and Kell got his nose bust again last time.

I get what you mean mate but Senchenko is tailor made for Brook. He isnt that big of puncher even though he stopped Hatton with a body shot and he's very rigid in his movement, etc.

:TU: The other top contenders and champs have their own timetable and plans, as you point out, Brook may look fantastic against a pretty stationary orthodox boxer - that will get his name mentioned with the US television people; he may build on it and get his crack quite quickly on the back of being active.

This fight will mean nothing to anybody of note in the usa. It certainly wont raise his profile. Maidana would really get him on the map tho.

Eddie Hearn should get a job on T.O.W.I.E and be done with it.
Its all "massive" "major" ground breaking.
It's bollocks is more like it im proper fucked off if he'd said its gonna be a slow road back for Kell fair enough.
But no lies and let downs
keeps us waiting then mugs us with the first name that was banded about.
How about stop collecting fighter's and concentrate on getting the fights we want for the fighters you've got.
Setting Brook up for more ridicule Khan and Alexander fans will be pissing themselves.
Matchroom hang your head there is nothing to gain for anyone from this fight.

That's why I criticise Hearn. I think he's just a very good spin doctor! Dont get me wrong FW is no better but atleast with him he doesnt try and act all friendly and tell you a load of bs. He's pretty open in his perceived miserableness lol.

Thankfully, I think there are having the Brook fight in October now, avoiding both shows on same night.

Like others, I'm not appalled by the match-up, but Hearn made it sound like a massive name would be making their way over for this one, so a bit of a let down.

Pisses me off with all the fvcking announcements and press conferences. The Froch-Groves press conference was absolutely pointless, announcing a fight we already knew was happening without a date or venue.

Genuinely worried for Kell. The clock is ticking on his career. It feels like 18 months ago he was about to take the sport by storm…or at least have a go at it…

He has a great chance with just about anyone at 147. Can’t think of anyone I’d rather see Mayweather fight.

Nothing official yet I don't think but seems as though it is going to be Senchenko. Straight forward fight for Kell- I have to say I was hoping for a bigger name. Hatton was all over the place against him- his timing was way off and yet he was still ahead on the scorecards when Senchenko stopped him. Maybe Eddie will surprise us and announce Maidana instead!

I'd wager Kell is a bit worried too mate.
His promoter is fast filling up with other more lucrative domestic and world level fighters which can only serve as a distraction from Kell.
Don't want a repeat of what happened with allegedly where Kell moved further down the bill of big shows.
He needs to get back to 100% and get his head down ruin his next opponent if they are not world level and really push for the big fights.

I really hope there are no more set backs and he makes the grade at the highest level.
Brave statement on here RE Floyd bound to get some stick for that one but he has as good a chance as anyone in my opinion :TU:

I fooking hope so but if its Senchenko he needs a good stoppage win.

Wow I'm betting Adam Smith absolutely wet his pants at this earth shaking announcement.
I hope everyone is looking forward to a weekly Ringside 24/7 build up to this mega fight.

Tj maybe you know more than me, but it looks to me that kell is down the pecking order of priority with Mr hearn. I dunno and maybe i have got this wrong but since his first fight with jones it seems Eddie was pissed off with his preparation and since then hasn;t really been as focused on Kell.

I may be naive to it all but thats how i saw it and tbh he doesn't exactly seem 'flavour of the month' so to speak.

i like Kell brook and i'm a bit biased as i'm from Sheffield but i'm honestly not sure how important kell is to matchroom at the moment..

what do you think?

Not saying he’d win but he has the talent and skills to be in with a chance.
