Disappointed with Caparello/MacKinnon performance (snooze-fest)
Re: serge yannick v jake carr
Agree what a fight Carr is one to keep an eye on, but he has to continue to evolve.
Caperello, I'm disappointed in, yeah he won, but lost the crowd, don't understand the 114 to 114, he won comfortably, but should be stopping McKinnons calibre, should he be looking at world honours.
Browne got dropped, but showed he has something different to offer the Heavyweight scene, knocking walker down 3 times on route to breaking Walkers will in the 8th. Room for improvement still, his patience is excellent his jab is like a sledge hammer, but he's too soft around the middle, needs to lift a level or 2.
Good card overall, hope Caps team allow him to be a bit more exciting.

Yes the Caparello/MacKinnon was a turgid affair with way too much clinching and neither willing to mix it up. Styles make fights, but unfortunately Caparello's inverse style makes for poor watching.
It may be better for Fox to move future Caparello bouts to the start of the program, to get them out of the way before the real excitement starts.

carr has great head movement.
Re: serge yannick v jake carr
Jake v Serge made the night. Awesome fight and Jake as such a young fella showed awesome courage and poise BUT, idont think he won. at best I thought he got a draw. All praise to the fella the judges gave it to him, but hopefully he give Serge a return match.
Re: serge yannick v jake carr
Did anyone have Daniel beating Blake (or should I say anyone else!!)
Re: serge yannick v jake carr
Yes, I did. daniel was the agressor the whole fight, he landed more, was more effective, he sat Blake on his bum mid fight with a short, sharp right, I had him up by at least two, being conservative, Scotty.
How's things mate? Looking forward to catching up for a beer soon, regreting not being able to come over for that last big card mate.

Blake too awkward and hard to hit. Daniel got the early rounds but I thought Blake stole it down the stretch. Not a lot in it. Close fight.
Re: serge yannick v jake carr
All good mate. Hopefully Mosley or Bika getting a big bout may see me to east coast again. I thought Daniel edged the bout due to work rate. It wasn't Blakes best performance.dberry wrote:Yes, I did. daniel was the agressor the whole fight, he landed more, was more effective, he sat Blake on his bum mid fight with a short, sharp right, I had him up by at least two, being conservative, Scotty.
