Eddie Hearns confirms its likely to be Senchenko

joke of a fight and his reasoning is farcical aswell! The guy doesnt give a shit about boxing even though thats what he continously banged on about when he first got into it. All he cares about is a pound note! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jC1gK6J4ni0

Interesting that he knows how much in pounds the Danes were paying ppv for the Froch Kessler fight he no doubt was crying he didn't get a percentage of that.

Also he says he has no say what the price of a ppv event should be, ok I believe you but when you have a percentage contract with Sky, why would you care? The higher without being crazy, the better for all concerned.

"The more money that comes into boxing the more money comes out the otherside" ............... via your pocket Fastcar

What a tit the guy who gate crashed the interview was, talking about Joshua being around the marketibility level in 18 months of FMJ and Pacquiao.

The guy should leave boxing and become David Camerons personal spin doctor. He'd be perfect for that role.

Doesn't give a poo about boxing? He has brought some fantastic fights to us considering he has only been a promoter for 2 years he has done a great job.

I dont see what the fuss is to be honest, i think the senchenko fight is a good one for brook, obviously there is better out there but this is far from a joke fight IMO. If brook beats senchenko then im sure a big american name will be around the corner

Hearn has been saying a big fight is around the corner for ages.

Well he was due to fight alexander, but it went belly up due to injures (and im not having all this that they faked the injury to duck him)

Can anyone list the top tier names in that division that are actually available to fight?

fornicate me Columbo you need to calm down. You get well into your Hearn bashing sometimes.

It is hardly a joke of a fight. It is just disappointing compared to some of the names we might have expected. The main mistake Eddie has made is using the words 'massive' and 'huge' when it isn't warranted. But then again we don't know who he has spoken with and what the reasons are.

Again, I love how you continually bash Hearn and pull him on on his 'talking shit', but let the others pass because 'it's expected'.

Because it's bullshit mate. You continously defend Hearn at every opportunity! Do you defend FW at every opportunity? No you dont. Im not saying FW is great either but Chisora vs Scott was a good fight and so is Cleverly vs Kovalev. Hearn has been saying for ages that Brook is going to be in a big fight and he said the fight coming up was going to be against a top opponent! Senchenko is not a 'big' fight.

Re-read my post. Goes against most things you have just posted. I have pretty much said it isnt a 'big' or 'massive' fight. I have also said it is disappointing.

And please. PLEASE don't compare matchmaking between the two. It isn't a winnable fight. I would be more than happy to compare though if you want?

Could that have something to do with the fact that FW has been promoting for 30 plus years whereas Eddie has been promoting for 2 and a half years?

Well it has a lot to do with it. If FW has been promoting far longer then it would make sense that he's put more mismatches on over a long period of time.

Columbo I told you it was Senchenko last week; it was written in the stars!!! :box:

It's not a bad step up for Brook - he'll stop him late and it'll get more on the bandwagon if Senchenko beat a past-it Hatton.

In a top ten, FW's greatest fights make Eddie and his dads look like crap. I dare you to compare the two. You probably don't even know some of the fights FW has been involved with...

You did say it to be fair :TU: .... still think it's a joke though. Is Senchenko definietly a better fighter than Carson Jones though? He beat a shot Hatton but aside from that who has he beaten? Jones beat Said Quali who is a decent fringe level guy. Better than anyone Senchenko has beaten IMO.

There's double standards on here Mickey. Warren gets absolutely slated for some of the matches he makes but yet Eddie can do no wrong.

Senchenko was a world Champion and brings a different style than Carson Jones. He's perfect for the Matchroom marketing train and this fight should lead to bigger fights for Brook.

I really think Brook is holding off for Mayweather; might as well lose to THE top guy for a big cash settlement than another Champion for a small cash settlement.

Senchenko was a world champion but that had a lot to do with him having a powerful ukranian promotional company behind him as much as anything and thus getting a good ranking with the WBA. Jones didnt have that kind of powerful team behind him.

And since Eddie has started promoting? Because that's who we are really talking about here. I am not arguing Warren has been involved in mega fights, I'm arguing that present day Matchroom > FW Promotions, but listening to people, you would never believe it.

And you aren't part of that double standard, albeit in reverse?
